The Lantheus Biomarker Solutions group is responsible for developing and marketing biomarkers for use in clinical development, research and clinical trials. Biomarkers range from diagnostic radiopharmaceuticals to digital services and products for extracting clinically valuable information from the associated medical images. This position will support an expansion and increased footprint of Lantheus’ digital products and services.

The Associate Director of Applications, AI-Digital Biomarker Solutions will work to enable and support two use cases: (1) biomarker software products for clinical use, and (2) digital services in research & clinical trials. The work will be carried out in close collaboration with the Business Development Director (focusing on clinical use) and Data Science Senior Director (clinical trials use).

Lantheus digital services are offered worldwide, with current customers focused in United States and European Union. An interest and ability to work and communicate internationally will be required.

The position is site-based, with 3 days onsite in our Bedford, MA headquarters. Travel can be expected up to 25%.

Essential Functions

  • Support Lantheus commercial efforts supporting digital services and products
    • Promoting and supporting imaging biomarker software for clinical use
      • Application support such as product demonstrations and product training
      • Gathering and communicating product feedback
      • Site correspondence and follow-up
      • Product support in collaboration with Lantheus technical support
      • Installing, configuring, monitoring and maintaining our applications
    • Promote and support biomarker software services for clinical trials & research
      • Site activation (demonstration & training)
      • Customer support in collaboration with Lantheus technical support
      • Development of trial-specific documentation
      • Managing communication between trial sponsors, trial coordinators and participating clinical sites in ongoing trials
    • Represent the Lantheus Biomarker Group at scientific meetings, including promotion of products and services
    • Represent the Lantheus Biomarker Group internally in relation to Lantheus teams such as R&D, Corporate Communications, and Global Medical Affairs.
    • Make decisions based on company and functional objectives and allocated resources. Supports change initiatives within the department directly or through supervisors/team leaders who direct the employees.

Job Requirements (Minimum Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills Required)

  • Degree in life sciences; with clinical practice background as a Nuclear Medicine/Radiologic Technologist, or a technical background as researcher or developer in the field of medical imaging
  • Extensive experience with medical imaging products such as imaging workstations and associated applications. Experience in working with software as a medical device for image analysis is an advantage
  • Minimum five years of industry experience in Pharma or Biotech; typically we expect 7+ years’ experience with 3+ years of management responsibility.
  • Strong communication skills with a passion for building relationships
  • Excellent record-keeping abilities and attention to detail
