We are currently seeking a Lead Software Engineer II who will be responsible for leading the implementation of IT Commercial Applications software including the development of Phenomenex’s CRM and supporting applications and services. The position requires sound technical skills with ability to lead/manage and direct a team of developers in the design and future enhancements of our applications and services. This is a hybrid position requiring 50-75% in office and 25-50% at home with possibility of international travel 1-2x per year.

What we’ll get you doing:

• Effectively lead/manage a team of developers to achieve results by providing appropriate direction, timely developmental feedback/coaching, and conducting performance reviews.
• Participate in the development of a schedule and effort estimates for implementation which ensures on time delivery of releases that meets/performs to technical and functional/non-functional requirements.
• Lead and oversee as well as provide technical leadership for contractors and individual contributors to ensure completion of tasks and attainment of departmental goals. This includes but is not limited to leading, participating, and directing the team in the documentation, design, development, coding, testing and debugging of applications.
• Lead and ensure team follows established process, practices, and standards such code merging and branching strategy, automated unit tests, automated builds, deployments, and CI/CD practices.
• Perform technical feasibility studies of new technologies and architectures, including evaluation of commercial tools and components while maintaining overall industry knowledge on latest trends and technology.

The essential requirements of the role include:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related technical field experience and 1-2 years management experience.
• 7+ years of Salesforce and on-prem Microsoft Dynamics CRM (including architecture, customization, deployment, administration, integration)
• 6-9 years of software development experience with CSS, HTML, jQuery, Bootstrap, nodeJS, .NET Core, API, C#, database principles and SQL (MS SQL preferred), stored procedures, REST API and hands-on coding.
• 6-9 years of experience with Cloud technologies especially Azure cloud technologies – Azure Web App, Azure DevOps, CI/CD, Virtual Machines, App Services, Azure Functions, etc.
• 6-9 years of strong working knowledge of various SDLC practices, concepts, and techniques, including Agile Scrum and Agile tools (i.e. Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, MS Project, Miro), GIT, and BDD, Documentation.
