Job Description

LGC’s Director of Informatics and Quality Control will drive strong sales growth, and strong long-term business relationships with end-user accounts for our diagnostic and genomic product lines. The Director will lead the Technical Accounts Specialist (TAS) team. Improving customer and TAS experience of implementation and use of both IAMQC Peer and IAMQC Infinity. Improving turn-around-time of projects of IAMQC Infinity. Developing and/or empowering team to develop tools for training, sales needs, customer utilization and product improvements on informatics products. These include brochures, user manual, technical guide, videos, etc. Travel to customers is a requirement of this position.

  1. Key Responsibilities
  • Ironclad submission for any informatics needs. This includes NDA, pricing contracts, Supply agreements that pertain to informatics products.
  • Abbott US: focused upon technical assistance, sales support of Multichem, product launches in the US, sales analysis, and development of tools for both Multichem and informatics products.
  • Roche US: focused upon technical assistance, sales support of Multichem, product launches in the US, sales analysis, and development of tools for both Multichem and informatics products.
  • Beckman US: Monitoring inventory run rate and sales in the US. Ensuring the Mutlichem S Plus has assayed values for the Beckman US reagents. Liaison between Beckman Customer Service and LGC Customer service needs.
  • Multichem Training: This includes training our B2B partnership sales organizations, LGC new hires, or sales team on the Multichem line. Working with Sales Operatuions on any cross functional team training for clinical lab or Multichem/Informatics training needs.
  • Technical Support: Assist Technical Support Team on any informatics or Multichem technical support.
  • PACE educational contact for LGC: Be the administrator for LGC on all PACE needs. Grade and manage the QC Workbooks for any customer globally that requires certification of completion. Send quarterly report to ASCLE/PACE.
  • Multichem Technical/Sales needs in the US: Review all exceptions reports on every Multichem lot manufactured by Ireland for regulatory impact to our customer’s needs and operational strategy when manufacturing exceptions are observed. Also crafting case studies for any product issues or gaps that are an issue commercially for LGC.
  • Testing Sales Tools: Managing and updating ready reckoner and Volume Calculator for product launches.
  • Develop deep understanding and knowledge of all internal and competitors' products and services to differentiate LGC as a top diagnostics and genomics provider.
  • Expected travel of 50% or more.

Qualifications

  • 15 plus years of experience selling IVD, biological, chemistry, immunoassay and/or clinical products into the in vitro diagnostic market including traditional molecular/serology diagnostic products and/or companion diagnostics required.
  • Experience in establishing partnerships with middle and senior level decision makers to develop ongoing relationships is required.
  • Requires good knowledge of Strategic and Consultative Selling.
  • Excellent presentation skills (both group and one-on-one) required.
  • Digital literacy must be at the level required to organize customer data, pricing, proposals, and other key information including the use of productivity tools such as SalesForce.com and MS Office applications.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills are required to work effectively internally and externally in matrix organization.
  • Forecasting capabilities must be highly developed as well as the ability to create accurate and timely reports.

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s Science (BSc) or higher in related field required.
  • Confidentiality and discretion required. Performance in an ethical and professional manner required at all times.
  • Adept self-learner who can readily understand and communicate technical details and performance of LGC’s portfolio of products.
  • Outstanding customer service orientation with ability to probe for detailed understanding of customer needs to respond quickly with product and service solutions.
  • Ability to work independently and to prioritize and lead multiple projects to satisfy customer needs and timelines.
  • Critical thinker who demonstrates intellectually focused process of actively and skilfully analyzing, synthesizing, and evaluating information as a guide to decision-making.
  • Capability of facilitating cross-functional, collaborative investigations using best practice processes and tools for problem resolution.
  • Excellent analytical skills to advise and support continuous sales initiatives.
  • Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
