Following our agreement with Roche to acquire the Vacaville manufacturing facility, we are now looking to recruit a Senior IT Site Lead for the Vacaville site!

The Site IT Lead acts as a Business Partner (BP) and is responsible for effective collaboration with the local business operations and represents Global IT at the Site. The Site IT Lead ensures that new demand from the site is funneled into the global IT Portfolio and that adequate, reliable and consistent IT services are delivered at the site.

The Site IT Lead is a member of the site core leadership team, acting as a key business partner, contact, advisor and escalation point of contact towards Site Business Leadership Team for any IT related matters

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain Site IT Master Plan as part of Lonza’s Digital Strategy – in partnership with site leadership team, Divisional Information Officer and IT stakeholders, develop and maintain the Site IT Master Plan and roadmap including the as-is and to-be site target architecture
  • Gather tactical input and demand on site specific requirements and coordinate IT project request process – perform GEMBA walks with asset heads and functional teams, capture and assess site specific IT requirements and needs; then formalize those through the IT project request process, in alignment with Division Information Officer and required IT CoEs as per agreed governance process (approvals, prioritization...)
  • Attend Site Leadership meetings and act as SPOC between local key stakeholders and remaining IT organization – Single Point of Contact for any IT related topic at the site, Stakeholder management, establishment and management of expectations, general advisory about IT.
  • Provides regular updates to the Site Leadership Team on key IT projects and status of IT Site KPIs
  • Internal and external Audit – Prepare and represent IT as part of internal and external regulatory inspections and audits. In case of audit findings, orchestrate with required IT functions the preparation and execution of remediation plan to address those findings.
  • Accountable for IT services and project delivery at the site - is informed and consulted in the planning and steering of global IT initiatives impacting the site and liaise with IT Service Delivery Management organization to ensure IT services are delivered as per SLA to the site and provided in an efficient manner.
  • Ensure site adhere and follow defined IT processes and policies – As representative of IT at the site, ensure that site leadership team take the required actions to ensure employees at the site adhere to established IT processes and comply with IT policies
  • Ensure site IT security compliance with global standard – co-work with regional IT security officer to reduce vulnerability. Promote the IT security awareness on the site
  • Ensure site is compliant with global IT standards and regulatory requirements Review and monitor site IT controls; to ensure e.g. DRP (Disaster Recovery Plan) is in place and regularly reviewed and tested, ensure that service provider and global IT CoEs maintain Data centers, servers and communication rooms that comply with Lonza Data center IT security policy
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or General Business Management required
  • Master's degree in Information Technology Management or comparable is preferred
  • Advanced experience as an IT Business or Technical Analyst
  • Foundational experience in IT Management
  • Strong customer service ethic

  • Ability to prioritize and quickly resolve issues

This position is contingent upon Lonza’s successful completion of the acquisition of the site located in Vacaville, California (the “Closing”), currently anticipated to occur in H2, 2024. If the Closing is delayed for any reason, Lonza may delay the start date up to sixty (60) days.

The full-time base annual salary for this position is expected to range between $178,200.00 and $207,900.00. Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including the successful candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, and job-related knowledge.
