Job Description Summary

The Associate Director Media Solutions plans and oversees strategic plans relating to the media portfolio and risks in the portfolio. Their primary responsibilities include developing long-term business strategies and product roadmaps to support NPI, growth and revenue, identifying weaknesses or opportunities in ongoing tactical and analyzing and assessing internal processes, market trends competitor offerings. The Associate Director of media needs to be an industry expert and KOL in the upstream media space for protein, cell and gene therapies.

Key responsibilities:

  • Responsible for developing long-range plans for the business, that maximizes molecule and therapy capture, strong portfolio offering, and ensures consistent delivery of business targets.
  • Engages at executive leadership level with key customers and drives strategically important interactions to secure long-term strategic business opportunities
  • Leads long-range asset optimization planning to ensure alignment of commercial goals and operations strategies
  • Provides a comprehensive analysis of competitors offering
  • Supports the Portfolio Management team to proactively plan a robust portfolio roadmap to mitigate business risk and avoid negative variances
  • Provides leadership and established effective communication channels to ensure alignment within the Bioprocessing organization, working closely with sales to understand needs
  • Maintains high levels of market awareness, ensuring market intelligence is deployed to support of execution of long-term growth strategy

Skills:

  • Highly experienced, senior leader with background of similar roles within the Bioprocessing upstream markets
  • Exceptional leadership and people management skills. Interpersonal savvy – capable of managing multiple points of view and building partnerships
  • Ability to bring divergent personalities together to build a team that deliver results. Skillful bringing conflict to resolution
  • Ability to manage complexity and quickly analyze data to formulate hypothesis and make recommendations
  • Ability to create new business models that drive growth
  • Commercially savvy, deep market understanding, and ability to foresee patters / trends within customers and technologies
  • Excellent communication, presentation and listening skills

Education Requirement:

BS or BA - Life Science

MBA Preferred
