Job Summary
*Scheduled hours for this position are 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on rotating weeks:
Week 1 - Sunday - Tuesday
Week 2 - Sunday - Wednesday
Overtime pay and annual bonus opportunity are available.
A Calibration Technician Level 4 will safely complete monthly planned and demand maintenance tasks per assign cGMP procedures. This role is designed to ensure instrumentation maintains required specifications and reliability levels. This requires multiple skill sets based on electrical theory, instrumentation knowledge, trouble shooting, failure analysis (RCA), Lonza processes, education, software skills, and prior experience. A senior technician is expected to be able to provide instructions as a trainer to assist junior technicians with their training requirements. The focus at this level should shift to team development and process improvement methodology.
Key Responsibilities
• Performs all work safely
• Perform routine calibration and maintenance work at a highly proficient rate throughout the facility
• Responsible for ensuring work is completed on time, review and closure of completed work orders and ensuring that all areas of responsibility are in a state of inspection readiness at all times
• Complete safety and cGMP training including classes, reads, and technical requirements as a trainee and a trainer. The level 4 Specialist is expected to demonstrate a higher level of technical training development
• Highly proficient at tasks and documentation using SAP, DMS, QMS, Excel, word or other software tools as required per GMP guidelines
• Provide engineering support such as tracking and closure of change controls, CAPAs, deviations and general technical assistance. These types of tasks can also be extended to instrument and system upgrades
• Understands site production and maintenance priorities with an ability to guide other technicians to reach site goals and compliance
• Perform other duties as assigned
Key Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Strong English communication skills; reading, writing, speaking
Ability to commit to scheduled work shifts
Preferred Qualifications
ISA Level 1
5 or more years' experience in Calibration, Metrology, Instrumentation or related field
Advanced electronic knowledge
• Advanced communication protocol knowledge
• Basic computer skills
• Experience creating new procedures
• Experience with cGMP documentation
• Ability to utilize hand tools
• Working knowledge of math, reading, and writing.
• Basic mechanical knowledge
• Adept trainer
