Job Summary

As a Digital Strategy Marketing Manager, the candidate plans and executes the priorities for the digital platforms to reach and engage target audiences in the region of Europe and Africa. The candidate needs to collaborate cross-functionally, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and continuously adapt strategies based on performance data and emerging trends. As the strategic digital marketing lead the candidate implements digital campaigns for all of Europe and Africa in accordance with global guidelines. The candidate is responsible for the further development and maintenance of the Europe and Africa website.

The candidate should have experience in managing direct reports, as well as contractors and agencies.

Major Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive digital marketing strategies to drive brand awareness and lead generation in the NGS market.
  • Manage and optimize PPC campaigns across platforms (Google Ads, LinkedIn, etc.) to maximize ROI.
  • Utilize GA4 (Google Analytics and Ecosystem) for in-depth analysis, tracking, and reporting of website and campaign performance; provide actionable insights.
  • Create and manage engaging content for email marketing campaigns; monitor performance and optimize for better engagement and conversions.
  • Design basic graphic assets for digital campaigns (social media ads, email headers, infographics) using tools like Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Adobe Express, Figma, etc.
  • Collaborate with the sales and product teams to align marketing efforts with business goals.
  • Oversee the website's SEO to improve organic search rankings and drive traffic.
  • Monitor digital marketing budgets, ensuring cost-effective strategies.
  • Utilize analytics tools to monitor and report on the performance of product and digital marketing campaigns.
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on data analysis to improve marketing strategies and achieve business goals.
  • Conduct A/B testing and other experiments to optimize marketing efforts.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Digital Marketing Manager, preferably in the biotech or life sciences sector.
  • Expertise in GA4 for data analysis, reporting, and performance optimization.
  • Hands-on experience with PPC campaigns, including keyword research, bid management, and A/B testing.
  • Basic design skills (experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar tools).
  • Proficiency in email marketing platforms (Mailchimp, HubSpot, etc.).
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Knowledge of SEO and SEM best practices.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in commercial marketing, including lead generation activities in the research or IVD industry
  • Proven project management skills required, along with the ability to directly or indirectly influence or lead teams and prioritize heavy workloads to meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment
  • Strong background in research or clinical solutions based on NGS technology
  • Preferred location is Berlin, as a hybrid position with 50% office presence
  • Ability to travel 20-30% of the time; also, outside of normal business hours
  • Require high levels of self-motivation and energy
  • Excellent written and oral communication & presentation skills; working language is English; additional languages are beneficial.
