UAE & Oman Sales Representative / Manager

About the position
The sales manager will be responsible for developing and driving sales opportunities by translating deep domain expertise and product knowledge into compelling positioning, competitive and selling strategies. The goal is to promote rapid adoption of MGI solutions resulting in increased sales success by providing segment and technical knowledge into sales opportunities. The sales manager will develop key sales opportunities and build a community of satisfied customers by working with district sales personnel, sales channel partners and marketing in both pre- and post-sales activities.
This role will focus on driving MGI Genomics Platform & Automation Platform & Bio bank Solution & Remote Ultrasound System business in Singapore to facilitate adoption of MGI technology across reproductive health oncology infectious disease in Genomics applications. Additional travel outside of region may be occasionally required.
Responsibility:
Sales Target Achievement: Drive revenue growth by providing professional solutions based on advanced knowledge in the NGS (Next Generation Sequencing) field, ensuring the achievement of regional sales targets across UAE and Oman.
Customer Engagement & Technical Support: Conduct regular customer visits, provide prompt responses to technical inquiries, and deliver expert consultation services to support client success and satisfaction.
Sales Team Collaboration & Training: Deliver comprehensive product, technology, and solution training to the sales team. Work closely with the salesforce to develop technical selling strategies and jointly achieve sales objectives.
Key Opinion Leader (KOL) Development: Build and maintain strong relationships with KOLs in the genomics and NGS sectors to support product promotion and market influence. Stay informed on emerging trends and technological advancements to ensure MGI’s competitive positioning.
Marketing & Promotion: Actively participate in regional marketing activities, host technical seminars, and provide regular product introductions, updates, and technical workshops for potential and existing clients.
Market Intelligence & Strategy Contribution: Gather and report on market insights, competitor activities, and customer feedback to the marketing and R&D teams. Contribute to the development of regional strategies based on market dynamics.
Requirement:
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree or above in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Immunology, Genetics, Bioinformatics, or related fields.
- Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of NGS technologies, genomics, and genetics. Familiarity with gene sequencers and their applications in clinical and research settings.
- Sales & Technical Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ experience in sales or technical support related to genomics/genetics instrumentation, with a proven track record of service excellence and customer relationship management.
- Distributor Management Experience: Demonstrated experience in managing and developing distributor networks to drive market expansion and sales performance.
- Communication & Collaboration: Strong communication, coordination, and teamwork skills. Ability to manage complex client relationships and technical discussions effectively.
- Resilience & Adaptability: Results-driven, self-motivated, and open to continuous learning. Willingness to travel frequently within the UAE and Oman region and adapt to a dynamic market environment.
