This Sr. Specialist, SAP Center of Excellence role at Moderna offers a unique opportunity to lead the company’s CMC (Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Controls) master data management efforts, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and security across various business units and stakeholders. The role focuses on managing CMC master data elements, driving critical data quality and integrity, and collaborating across teams to standardize, maintain, and optimize master data.
As a detail-oriented and influential individual, you will orchestrate data governance policies and processes and ensure that the master data supports Moderna’s business and operational goals. This role will also focus on the integration and synchronization of data across different systems, ensuring compliance with regulations and policies. You will play a pivotal part in driving value through process improvement projects and serve as an SME in various initiatives related to data quality and integrity.
Here’s What You’ll Do
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Create and manage master data records within Moderna's SAP S4 HANA system.
- Develop and implement data management standards to ensure data accuracy and quality.
- Facilitate data mining, integration, and synchronization across multiple platforms and systems.
- Collaborate with digital and business units to establish and maintain master data governance policies.
- Document knowledge through SOPs and provide training on data entry standards.
Your Responsibilities Will Also Include
- Perform data analysis and cleansing, identifying and correcting inaccuracies.
- Participate in data migration projects, including mapping, testing, and validation.
- Respond to master data queries and troubleshoot data-related issues.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and company policies.
- Lead and participate in process improvement projects to drive business value.

Here’s What You’ll Need (Basic Qualifications)
- BA/BS preferred in supply chain management, logistics, engineering and/or business administration with experience in pharmaceutical data management and project management
- 5+ years’ experience (BA/BS) or 3+ years (MS) in various Supply Chain, Project Management, and Manufacturing functions (strong preference towards Pharmaceutical and Biotech experience)
Here’s What You’ll Bring to the Table (Preferred Qualifications)
- Certification in APICS, data management, or related disciplines is a plus.
- Proven experience with SAP S4 Hana, data quality tools, and methodologies.
- Familiarity with industry standards and best practices in master data management.

- Good presentation and preparation skills to visualize complex content in an easy to view manner
