As part of Moderna’s ongoing growth, we have established a world-class international MESH center in Warsaw, Poland. This center supports key business functions, including Finance, Pharmacovigilance, and HR, serving as the backbone of Moderna’s shared services internationally.
In this role as a Senior Analyst, Indirect Tax (VAT) - APAC, FR, NL, BE, you will assist with the preparation and accuracy of indirect tax services within Moderna International Business Services. Reporting to the Indirect Tax Senior Manager, you will support the company’s VAT reporting processes and collaborate with the broader International Tax team to ensure compliance with local tax authorities across MESH jurisdictions. We are committed to delivering accurate, timely, and insightful financial information while continuously improving processes to scale operations for future growth.
Here's What You’ll Do
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Supporting VAT reporting compliance for specific markets to meet internal and external deadlines.
- Assisting in the preparation of monthly, bi-monthly, quarterly, or annual VAT returns and other indirect tax returns (e.g., sales listings, Intrastat) for assigned markets.
- Providing support to stakeholders to ensure transactions are processed correctly and posted in compliance with local indirect tax requirements.
- Monitoring VAT reconciliation and reporting processes to ensure data accuracy and compliance with internal controls.
Your Responsibilities Will Also Include
- Developing relationships with commercial and functional teams to provide high-quality tax advice on VAT issues, compliance, reviews, and inquiries.
- Collaborating with the Indirect Tax Senior Manager and team members to ensure ongoing compliance with tax requirements.
- Supporting other projects within Moderna as a subject matter expert, adapting to new data and requirements as they arise.
- Partnering with teams across Moderna to understand key business processes and share tax-related updates with stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications
Here’s What You’ll Bring to the Table:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related discipline required
- In progress of tax accreditation, a plus
Preferred Qualifications
- 2-4+ years of related experience in indirect taxes is required; public accounting experience, pharma/biotech company
- Strong tax technical skills including expertise in VAT
- Experience with financial systems including SAP, Blackline and Microsoft Suite of products
- Strong work ethic, self-motivated, willing to “Roll-up your sleeves” to drive and deliver results, meet deadlines and improve processes
- Strong analytical skills and pays attention to detail
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively across functional teams
- Excellent English skills, both written and verbal. Additional languages is a plus
