Summary

Position Highlights:

  • Provides leadership, structure and motivation to a specific service area of the pharmacy and manage assigned staff.
  • Interact and collaborate with other Moffitt departments and programs.
  • Supports all cancer center staff engaged in medication related activity, including patient care, research, education and business.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Will have a Doctor of Pharmacy degree.
  • Has Oncology Specialty Residency or three years of oncology pharmacy experience.
  • Will have a working knowledge of administrative, clinical and technical functioning of a cancer center pharmacy required.
  • Will have experience with staff development programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist to develop, manage and integrate clinical services related to assigned area.
  • Assist to develop, coordinate and integrate drug preparation and distribution services for assigned areas.
  • Participate in the recruitment and hiring process and manage staff for assigned areas.
  • Operate the departments within the budgetary parameters and financial objectives.

Credentials and Qualifications:

  • Graduate of a College of Pharmacy required.
  • Florida licensure as a Registered Pharmacist required.
  • Three years of Oncology Pharmacy experience with working knowledge of administrative, clinical and technical functioning of a cancer center pharmacy preferred.
  • Previous involvement in fields of patient safety, performance improvement, data collection and regulatory or accreditation processes preferred.
  • Experience with the medication use process in a hospital and/or clinical setting required.
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills and organizational skills required.
