Summary

The Department of Gastrointestinal Surgical Oncology & Gastroenterology at Moffitt Cancer Center is seeking a Board-certified/eligible Surgical Oncology faculty member to join our practice at the Assistant or Associate Member level. Specifically, we are seeking a Surgical Oncology-trained individual with an interest in HPB practice. The scope of the position includes inpatient, outpatient, and surgical care of oncology patients with HPB cancers, liver metastasis and neuroendocrine tumor diagnoses. The candidate will join an established team of HPB surgeons, working within multidisciplinary teams. This position will have clinic at our Magnolia campus, with opportunity to develop and establish a practice in Moffitt satellite sites, and with surgical cases centered at our new Moffitt McKinley Hospital. This position includes an opportunity to grow an academic program. Applicants should be committed to the mission of prevention and cure of cancer, including in clinical practice, educational endeavors, research endeavors and professional service. Within Moffitt Cancer Center, The Department of Gastrointestinal Surgical Oncology & Gastroenterology is uniquely situated within a multidisciplinary, collaborative GI program that provides high quality care to patients in one of six primary disease sites: Colorectal, Gastroesophageal, Liver, Pancreas, Peritoneal and Neuroendocrine. The Department includes 19 faculty members in GI Surgical Oncology, General/Acute Care Surgery and GI-Endoscopy, and 17 APPs.

Qualifications:

Education/Licensure:

  • MD or Equivalent
  • Board certified (or eligible) in General Surgery
  • Requires successful completion of Fellowship training in complex general Surgical Oncology
  • Florida Medical License
