About the Role

Molecular Assemblies is seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join our team as a Buyer-Planner I. The Buyer-Planner I is responsible for the ongoing procurement of raw materials, components, and services to meet production requirements and other needs of the company. The role also includes material and build planning, managing and cultivating supplier relationships, and negotiating pricing.

Responsibilities

  • Procure materials, components, equipment, supplies and services required by Manufacturing, R&D and other functions of the organization
  • Plan, schedule, and monitor goods and services to meet production requirements
  • Manage inventory levels to ensure minimum stocking levels are maintained
  • Assist with inventory counts
  • Coordinate with other teams including Manufacturing, Finance and R&D to meet short and long-term material needs and accounting requirements
  • Source, negotiate, and select suppliers that meet the company’s quality, price, and delivery requirements
  • Conduct research and comparative analyses of different products and alternatives
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with suppliers
  • Monitor supplier performance in terms of quality, cost, and delivery

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics management, or related field
  • 3+ years’ experience in buying and planning roles supporting manufacturing in Biotech, Pharma or related industries
  • CSCP, CPIM or similar certification is a plus
  • Experience with MRP / ERP systems
  • Able to work independently, and collaboratively within a team
  • Able to communicate and collaborate effectively with suppliers and technical teams
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Must be able to manage multiple priorities and work well with ambiguity
  • Organized and diligent with good time management skills
  • Salary Range: $50,000 – $68,000. The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated salary range for this position. The actual base salary offered for this position will be based on many factors including but not limited to individual performance, location of job, experience and skills required for this role. This role may be either exempt or nonexempt. This is an onsite position.
