The Fast Trak associate scientist for Cytiva is responsible for delivering upstream process development and Biacore projects and trainings to Cytiva’s Biopharmaceutical customers

This position is part of the BIS-PDVS, PD services organization located in Bangalore and will be on-site role. At Cytiva, our vision is, to advance future therapeutics from discovery to delivery.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Deliver upstream process development projects for various application areas (e.g. Monoclonal Antibodies (MAb's), vaccines, recombinant proteins) to meet required quality and timelines.
  • Deliver on Biacore projects and other analytical projects.
  • Maintain accurate and complete records of all work, including proposals, reports, eLN to customers in oral and written manner.
  • Deliver practical and lectures in various training courses for customers, theoretical as well as practical, in the field of biomanufacturing.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Earned a PhD degree in Life Sciences, Chemical Engineering or related Life Sciences field; with 2 plus years or more of hands-on cell culture and Biacore experience.
  • Understanding of principles and theory behind bioreactor cultivation for processing biologicals with knowledge in principles of process development, scale-up, validation, single-use, hybrid, and traditional set ups
  • Working knowledge of general analytical methods applicable for upstream process development (metabolite analysis, cell-based assays, HPLC, electrophoresis, assay development, SDS-PAGE etc)
  • Excellent communicator with English language proficiency, with demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative, matrixed, and customer focused environment.
