This Global Product Manager role for Cytiva is responsible for driving the business for our pilot scale chromatography systems and columns.

This position is part of the Bioprocess Downstream Hardware team located in Uppsala, Sweden and will be a hybrid role.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Act as the global product manager for our pilot scale chromatography portfolio.
  • Represent “voice of the customer” for your products inside Cytiva, making sure market and customer needs are reflected in the product lifecycle strategy, including R&D and product care activities.
  • Develop and drive the product life cycle strategy of the portfolio, including recommendations of investments and/or development or discontinuations to keep the portfolio vital and competitive. Collaborate with other Product Managers to provide solutions for our customers.
  • Through close collaboration with commercial teams and supply chain ensure efficient supply of products in line with market needs.
  • Support the commercial organization with marketing material and sales tools as well as providing sales and profitability forecast to internal stakeholders.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Life Sciences/Biotechnology or related life sciences field
  • Understanding of chromatography processes in pilot and commercial scale and implications for consumables, automation etc.
  • Proven experience in a Life Sciences based business and good understanding of the biopharmaceutical manufacturing environment and the needs of the customers in this market
  • Strong business and technical acumen, including a holistic understanding of bioprocessing for various target molecules
  • Experience of customer/market focused activities. You have a customer focused mindset with strong ability to spot customer needs, communicate solutions and build trust by collaborating to suggest effective processes.
  • Valid Swedish working permit

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • To be successful in this role, we believe that you are a person who thrives when working in a flexible environment with demonstrated abilities to navigate in a collaborative, matrixed, and customer focused environment.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a matrix organization including good interpersonal and communication skills, plus experience of using these skills to participate in and influence cross-functional teams
  • Proven experience from Chromatography processes
