The Senior Process Engineering Manager at Radiometer oversees the process engineering team across all value streams. This includes providing guidance and fostering staff development in a high-speed manufacturing setting. The manager will use troubleshooting, data analysis, and problem-solving methods to enhance plant efficiency. Additionally, they will recommend, develop, and implement enhancements to production processes, materials, methods, and controls. This role is part of the on-site Engineering Team based in New Brighton and reports to the Sr. Site Director.

This position is part of the Engineering Team located in New Brighton and will be On-Site. You will report to the Sr. Site Director.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Drive continuous improvement activities in quality, cycle times, yields, and machine availability through lean techniques (DBS) and value engineering to improve the capability of existing processes and remove waste.
  • Support Value Streams in resolving high-priority production and quality issues.
  • Drive functional excellence of the team while recruiting, mentoring, and developing staff as master problem solvers.
  • Define, establish, monitor, and report key performance metrics to meet key goals and manufacturing objectives, ensuring manufacturing capacity meets the established plan.
  • Work with the Quality team to identify and resolve systemic quality issues.
  • Review production data (such as product performance, process capability, and product cost) and compare it to industry standards, customer expectations, and competitors.
  • Collaborate with R&D Engineering to gain and provide needed support.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Manufacturing, Process Engineering, or Engineering field (Electrical, Chemical, Mechanical, or Materials Science)
  • 8+ years of Engineering experience, including 3+ years of engineering management experience.
  • Strong analytical, statistical, and problem-solving skills and proficiency in performing and implementing Design of Experiments (DOEs), Statistical Process Control (SPC), Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Ishikawa Diagrams, optimization, and other systematic tools.
  • Ability to analytically evaluate data and information, use dynamic problem-solving methods, and implement solutions.
  • Strong program and project management, leadership, team building, and mentoring skills.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Experience with Automated and Semi-Automated assembly
  • Quality Management System experience
  • Ability to apply standards and codes published by such authorities as the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
