Associate Field Service Engineer should conducts service, repair and/or installation of products or IT solutions at customer site, including electrical and mechanical testing, in accordance with maintenance contracts. Diagnoses system failures and determines most cost-effective solution. Escalates complex issues to greater level of technical support or quality reporting system. May develop new customer service/product agreements. Responds to customer support calls within an assigned territory.

Associate Field Service Engineer is responsible to maintain and install SCIEX products at both internal and external customer sites, including strategic accounts. Conducts maintenance service and/or installation of Capillary Electrophoresis ,LC and Mass Spectrometer Instruments at customer site, including electrical and mechanical testing, in accordance with maintenance contracts. Responds to customer support calls within an assigned territory.

Core Responsibilities

  • Completes and successfully pass assigned training tasks on assigned products and responsibilities with Working knowledge of SCIEX and OEM products ( CE/ LC/ LCMS-MS )
  • Experienced in performing high quality installation, repair and maintenance on mass spec instruments
  • Performs IQ/OQ and other qualification products. Includes training.
  • Experienced in HPLC / CE installation and maintenance
  • Performs preventive maintenance on select products

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • MSc/BE/ in Electronics or Instrumentation; Specialization in Analytical Instrumentation
  • 6-8 years of relevant experience in Lifesciences or related industry
  • In-depth understanding of analytical instrumentation in research, specific to mass spectrometry
  • He/she should have hands on experience related to instruments like CE,Mass Spec, HPLC, etc
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
  • Flexibility to travel frequently at short notice
