The Strategic Sourcing team is looking for a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer who is analytical, collaborative and has an entrepreneurial spirit! The Leica Biosystems Imaging business is excited to be growing in our Vista, CA office, just outside of San Diego. In partnership with the Procurement Team, you will be responsible to improve the Quality of Parts and Services provided by suppliers through a combination of reactive problem solving and pro-active improvement actions.

Essential Requirements:

  • Main POC and relationship management for all quality related communication, action items, and projects to Leica Suppliers

  • Procurement team representative for MRB. Assisting in the dispositioning of material and managing supplier related nonconformance along with supplier RTV/RMA process

  • Own, manage, improve, and report quality metrics for daily management and Supplier Quality Review Board meetings.

  • Liaison between Leica Engineering and Supplier to resolve technical challenges by supporting Supplier process developments

  • Improve component related yields by leveraging customer complaints and defect per unit rates while working with suppliers to develop quality improvement plans

Preferred Requirements:

  • Engineering Degree (EE, ME or equivalent)

  • 3+ years’ experience in Supplier Quality within a manufacturing environment required

  • Medical device experience with electrical components, cameras, machine and cast metal parts as well as, cabling preferred.

The salary range for this role is $100,000 - $120,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
