The Business Development & Application Manager Hong Kong/Taiwan is responsible to achieve sales target & to provide in-field products, applications and marketing support for our current and “next generation” range of HI, AS and PI. The position will have sales & application responsibilities.
This position is part of the Sales Team located in Hong Kong and will be fully remote. At Leica Biosystems, our vision is to advance cancer diagnostics and improve lives.
You will be a part of the Commercial Sales Team and report to the Commercial Business Manager, HKTW who is responsible for managing HKTW business, focusing on growth and profitability, developing and executing sales and channel strategies.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT (20%)
- To lead total solution discussion and build opportunities with and for commercial team with strategic accounts and KOL proactively
- Providing commercial solution on site to improve customer workflow proactively.
APPLICATIONS (80%)
- Work closely with direct team (sales, service, marketing) and channel partners to provide excellent support on product and application troubleshooting to the customers in the business of Advance Staining, Core Histology and Digital Pathology solution.
- Install and conduct post-sales support activities on site and training for customers and Channel partners regularly.
- Design and perform investigation of tough technical applications while working with closely with Service, marketing and global business units and follow normal Standard Work for warranty claim and product quality complaint handling to ensure total customer satisfaction.
The essential requirements of the job include:
- Bachelor’s or master's degree in medical, life sciences, pathology or equivalent.
- 5-8 years sales experience in IVD, Histology, Life Science or biopharmaceutical industry with practical focus with a minimum 3 years of Application experience with a leading medical device company preferred
- Strong business acumen
- Demonstrated functional experience in areas such as Sales support Management
- Proven ability to ‘system’ and ‘circular’ sell within accounts
