Title: Scientific Technical Writer

Nature of Role: An opportunity to spearhead a body of work that translates complex technology and genomics concepts into reader-friendly content for business and scientific audiences. As a Scientific & Technical Marketing Writer at Nabsys, you’ll work in a rapidly evolving environment and collaborate with visual designers and subject matter experts to manage multiple projects from concept to publication. You will lead the development of marketing materials that support the use of electronic genome mapping to study genetic variation and function for both research and diagnostic applications.

Responsibilities:

• Write, edit, and authenticate persona- and product-based scientific promotional materials, including product data sheets, technical notes, application notes, educational materials, blog posts, and web-based communications, independently
• Accountable for scientific statement development and ensuring appropriate substantiation of proof points
• Manage multiple projects from concept to publication under tight deadlines and changing conditions, with support from a cross-functional team
• Provide clear, detailed direction for the development of illustrations and supporting figures
• Lead efficient collaboration with Marketing, Product, Applications, Legal and other stakeholders to produce the most effective content
• Ensure adherence to brand verbal and visual guidelines
• Learn and apply new tools, processes, and scientific information quickly
• Give and receive direct feedback
• Occasional travel required

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in scientific marketing writing or similar
• Degree in biology, molecular biology, genetics, or other life science field
• Advance degree preferred
• A portfolio of writing samples
• A collaborative and curious mindset
• Knowledge of scientific terminology, principles, and publishing standards
• Superior project and time management skills, excellent organization, and unfailing attention to detail and quality
• Exceptional grammatical, writing, and editorial skills and English proficiency
• Practical life sciences lab experience preferred
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite is a plus
• Commercial experience in a life sciences company is a plus
