About the Role
Major accountabilities:
Accountable for strategic business partnering within the country, collaborating with Site Heads and Platform Heads. Coach and mentor responsible Finance Site Heads to ensure effective strategic business partnerships, establishing Finance as a crucial partner for delivering outcomes and driving value, contributing to country strategy, and providing decision support thus ensuring that synergies across sites are fully utilized.
Operating Income Oversight: Manage and take full responsibility for Operating Income within the assigned country. Collaborate with site finance heads to ensure cohesive financial strategies and alignment with organizational goals. Analyze financial performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to enhance operating income.
Establishing Finance as a crucial partner for delivering outcomes and driving value in the country.
They are consulted by Finance Site Heads and Platform Heads for business cases & decision support, e.g. make or buy decisions, production plan optimization, etc.
Contribute to the TechOps strategy in the country, ensuring they are well aligned with the platform and global.
Lead strategic projects (including Infrapark and Logistics) and provide guidance to site finance heads thus ensuring that synergies across sites in the country are fully exhausted.
Accountability for data & digital in the country, e.g. reporting harmonization, double down on simplification, standardizing of processes. Continue automating, and incorporating more AI into reporting and KPIs
Cost Management and Procurement: They optimize external spend through effective cost management strategies and collaborate with procurement teams to ensure efficient and cost-effective processes.
Ensure compliance with internal controls within the country.
Co-own inventory responsibilities in USA
Role Requirements:
Accounting/business degree. MBA preferable
10+ years of finance experience within pharmaceutical technical operations / manufacturing industry
Proven experience in responding to external volatility and ongoing organizational evolution
Demonstrated experience in handling ambiguity and complexity effectively (matrixed environment/ ability to collaborate across sites)
Proven leadership experience and ability to manage multi-site direct and indirect reports
