About the role:
In this role you will support the development and execution of the integrated communications strategy to position Novartis as a leader in technical operations, operational excellence, and sustainability. With a deep focus on our manufacturing sites, in this role you will have the pleasure of getting to know the inner workings and the colleagues of our TechOps organization, with the goals to increase engagement at all levels of this organization, create a sense of pride and ensure our sites are part of the communities where they are based. The opportunities are endless to celebrate this group of colleagues and become the go-to experts of this audience within Corporate Communications.
About the Role
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop strategies to engage manufacturing, supply chain employees across all levels – including implementation of new channels
- Provide Business Partnership to members of Operations Leadership team as defined. Build and maintain relationships with Manufacturing Site Heads to provide counsel and strategic partnership.
- Creative implementation of patient, purpose and culture content within sites – leveraging new channels, AI translation, etc. to connect the dots for floor associates in a language that resonates and elicits pride
- Create and support implementation of external initiatives to help Novartis grow reputation within the communities we are located and entices new employees
- Partner across Corporate communications, US and International regional/country structures to ensure delivering and effectiveness of strategies and activities
- Build and maintain communications network across manufacturing sites
- Develop playbooks, templates and communications best practices for local implementation
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the audience, who they are, what they care about, what engages them and how, and vice versa, what doesn’t.
- Exemplify a predictive mindset; seeks multidirectional insights to understand our environments and stakeholders, and embrace iterative, measurable experimentation and action.
- Utilize and interpret real-time data, translating into tactical decisions to adjust strategies to meet desired objectives and goals
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Several years of experience in communications or public affairs
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to the development and implementation of successful communication strategies.
- Strong understanding of technical operations, operational excellence, and large scale transformation and change management
- Channel innovation & writing for various channels
- Ability to navigate complexity and multiple priorities
