Summary

As the Senior Global BPA Manager TechOps, you'll have a significant role in the Global Business Planning & Analysis (BPA) team. You'll manage the Operations FP&A Calendar and oversee TechOps Non-Core financials. Reporting to the Head FP&A Global TechOps, you'll be a key player in ensuring financial accuracy and transparency across the organization. You'll serve as the Corporate Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for our Contract Manufacturing Organization (CMO) business, offering crucial insights and decision support. Additionally, you'll lead ad hoc high-priority BPA projects, driving innovative solutions to enhance our operations. Your contributions will be vital in enabling strategic financial planning and fostering operational excellence.

About the Role

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Managing Operations FP&A Calendar

  • Be the SPOC for Operations FP&A Calendar, organize all the planning (annual budgeting, latest forecast, Long Term Planning etc.), actual reporting and business review processes for the overall NTO organization
  • Coordinate processes with T&F, Tech Platforms, Operations Leadership Team and Corporate
  • Constantly review and identify opportunities to improve planning and reporting processes and systems
  • Transparent and timely communication with the TechOps Finance Community about any update of the FP&A Calendar

TechOps Non-Core Financials

  • Be the SPOC for Non-Core financial planning and reporting
  • Build close partnership with business stakeholders and FRA to ensure deep understanding, accurate planning and booking of all the Infrapark, Network Transformation and business restructuring projects
  • Ensure correct Non-Core reporting in IFP
  • Smooth communication and alignment with Corporate about Non-Core planning

SPOC for Contract Manufacturing Organization Business

  • Be close to CMO Finance Team and master deep understanding of CMO business performance
  • Ensure open communication with Corporate and CMO Finance, drive effective planning process
  • Be the expert of CMO reporting in the BU view vs. TP view and offer technical support to the CMO Finance Team where needed

Other

  • Support Division CFO and BPA Head with ad-hoc requests
  • Lead high-priority BPA projects

Key Performance Indicators

  • A robust Operations FP&A Calendar which guarantees seamless planning and reporting
  • Strong collaboration with all stakeholders to ensure full alignment of the Operations FP&A Calendar
  • Open communication with TechOps Finance Community to ensure strong execution of the Calendar
  • Deep business insights and proper TGT setting for CMO business
  • Satisfaction of internal customers (Operations CFO, Head BPA, Tech Platforms Finance Leads…)

Education, Qualifications, Skills and Experience

Essential for the role:

  • 6+ years financial and /or operational experience
  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (MBA preferred), or relevant finance certifications
  • Digital savvy, proficient in using common financial tools
  • High learning agility, curiosity and result-orientation
  • Excellent analytical skills and strong communication skills
  • Ability to work and influence/ lead (a cross-functional team) in a matrix environment and partner effectively with different stakeholders
  • Adaptability to changing environment/ project timelines and managing ambiguity
  • Fluent in English (both written and spoken)

Desirable for the role:

  • Familiar with Novartis reporting set-up and systems
  • Operational manufacturing finance experience
  • Experience in automation and digitalisation within financial processes
  • Experience within a multinational organisation
