The Position

We are looking for a Senior Medical Project Manager to join the Medical Affairs team in Sweden. As Senior Medical Project Manager it is your responsibility to drive medical strategy cross-functionally and be a scientific expert on cardiometabolic diseases and portfolio. With this expertise, the Senior Medical Project Manager initiates, drives and manages scientific projects with internal and external stakeholders and research collaborators.

You will be responsible for:

  • Leading the development and execution of our medical strategy within the cardiometabolic field.
  • Engaging in cross-functional activities with e.g., marketing, sales, market access, and clinical and ensure achievement of targets to support the success of Novo Nordisk current and future portfolio within the cardiometabolic field.
  • Coordinate and drive scientific meetings and dialogue around the cardiometabolic field and our related data.
  • Collaborating with relevant external stakeholders in developing scientific approaches and solutions to support scientific business strategies.
  • Initiating and implementing scientific real-world data (RWD) and other relevant medical projects within Diabetes and other therapeutic areas.

You will also drive and manage ISS proposals and be responsible for developing Key Opinion Leader (KOL) engagement. As part of your role, you’ll engage with national advisory boards and medical agencies.

We can offer this position as a hybrid model, where you can be based anywhere across Sweden.

Qualifications

You are either a Medical Doctor, or hold a Master’s or PhD within a relevant field. You are a strong collaborator and communicator with experience of informal leadership, capable of having a deep scientific dialogue with KOL´s and other stakeholders.

Furthermore, you:

  • Have Medical Affairs experience from the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Are excellent in working cross-functionally and have a great understanding of the commercial pharmaceutical business.
  • Project management experience and skills
  • Thrive in a high phase and dynamic environment
  • Enjoy educating and presenting for bigger audiences.
  • Ideally have previous experience from working within diabetes, cardiovascular disease or cardiometabolic disease.
  • Proficient in Swedish and English, both oral and written, are crucial for the position.

About the Department

The Medical Affairs department at Novo Nordisk in Sweden comprises 11 professionals. As our Senior Medical Project Manager, you’ll be reporting directly to the Head of Medical Affairs. Our office is based in Malmö, but a lot of our colleagues are benefitting from our hybrid model of working.
