The position

As an Operational Excellence Engineer at Novo Nordisk, you play a pivotal role in driving process improvement and operational efficiency within our manufacturing environment. Your responsibilities will include leading initiatives to enhance productivity, optimize workflows, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

More specifically, you will:

• Analyze production workflows, identify bottlenecks, and develop strategies for efficiency improvements.

• Work closely with shopfloor teams to identify areas for process improvement and operational optimization.

• Lead lean manufacturing initiatives and drive continuous improvement projects.

• Provide hands-on support to shopfloor personnel in implementing operational best practices.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process enhancements and drive operational excellence.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, you should have the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.

• Proven experience in operational excellence, process improvement, or lean manufacturing within a manufacturing environment.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.

• Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.

About the department

Novo Nordisk is significantly increasing its manufacturing capacity across all areas to serve more patients in the coming years. Our department is working to expand the capacity of our Finished Product manufacturing. The highly automated facility will be equipped with state-of-the-art technology that is flexible to accommodate new processes and products. It will expand our capacity to serve more people living with serious chronic diseases including rare diseases.
