The position

As Test Engineer, you are responsible for developing, qualifying, validating, and implementing new equipment (e.g., automated measuring machines and alike) and test methods for the primary packaging QC laboratory.

We do not have laboratory facilities in our own team, which means that close collaboration with QC laboratories is part of your daily work.

Some of your activities include:

  • Identifying and procuring the best equipment for the QC department, supporting on testing and validation activities
  • Collaborating closely with the risk managers and requirement engineers who set specifications for the primary packaging items
  • Participating in the measurement and testing of packaging materials (glass, polymers, etc.) in a cGMP environment
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvements within testing and validation workflows, implementing best practices to enhance efficiency and compliance
  • Engaging proactively with various departments across the business, including Project Managers and external suppliers

There is a very broad stakeholder interface in this position, therefore strong collaboration with your colleagues from all parts of Novo Nordisk is an essential key to success.

The current office location is Bagsværd; however, the department will be relocating to Taastrup at the end of the year.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, we imagine you:

  • Hold a master’s degree in engineering (preferably mechanical/ chemical) or another relevant field within the natural sciences
  • Possess practical experience in a comparable role within a regulated industry
  • Demonstrate knowledge and a solid understanding of technical drawings, geometrical product specifications, and measurements
  • Showcase familiarity with or willingness to learn the concepts of equipment qualification and validation
  • Display proficiency in both spoken and written English

It would be considered as a strong advantage if you have experience in physical testing (equipment and methods) and knowledge of cGMP within the pharma sector, along with interest or experience in automation and new technologies.

About the department

You will join Primary Packaging, Material ManDev in Product Supply, Sourcing Operations. We consist of approx. 40 employees organised in four teams, responsible for implementation of primary packaging materials, maintenance of documentation, and implementation of equipment for testing those materials. We cooperate with a variety of functions, including CMC, Device R&D, QC laboratories, QA, various Novo Nordisk production sites around the globe, and a range of external suppliers and contract manufactures.

The team you will be joining consists of 8 engineers/project managers and one associate manager representing six different nationalities. The department is rapidly growing to face the new challenges laying ahead, with plenty of opportunities for you to grow personally and contribute to the overall success of Novo Nordisk while having fun at the same time.
