The Position

This high-profile position relies on lean aptitude, business acumen and ability to drive change. Lean is an integral part of the way we run our business for the long-term, and as cLEAN® Specialist you will be responsible for building the lean culture and capabilities at our newly established production site. Your broad subject matter expertise and hands-on experience driving change through lean manufacturing and lean leadership practices will be instrumental in guiding our organization towards operational excellence.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of a cLEAN® strategy for Site TI in a role as owner for the Operational Readiness cLEAN® track.
  • Establish a system to develop, share, and maintain relevant cLEAN® standards across Site TI.
  • Take responsibility for the hiring, educating, and mentoring our future capable cLEAN® organization at Site TI.
  • Develop a visual management system to drive escalation and problem solving during the ramp-up of our new production facility.
  • Define visual controls and performance monitoring systems for future operations in collaboration with our Digitalization team.
  • Design and deliver a shopfloor-centered coaching program to mature cLEAN® Leadership.

Moreover, as part of your main tasks you will implement:

  • PSQIT cLEAN® Academy at Site TI, including roll-out of cLEAN® training courses and development of trainer base as well as a role-based cLEAN® skills program covering all employee groups that you will design.
  • Standardized performance boards and planning systems across Site TI.
  • Leader Standard Work for all Operations leaders at Site TI.
  • cLEAN® Supply System principles as the core operational model at Site TI

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, we expect you to have:

  • A Master’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, Project Management or related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in lean manufacturing or continuous improvement roles, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Proven experience in project execution, stakeholder management, Program Management and Operational planning.
  • Subject matter expertise in lean leadership with demonstrated abilities for effective leadership of staff with particular focus on owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership.
  • Experience driving business transformations through lean continuous process improvement initiatives and other projects. Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification is highly advantageous.
  • Full proficiency in oral and written English.

On a professional level we expect you to demonstrate ability to promote and apply lean principles, methods and tools, and always link this to business needs, whilst you show a passion and drive to develop and maintain a Lean culture.

As a person, you have the ability to communicate complex information with understanding to a variety of audiences who have different levels of experience and knowledge which enables you to build effective working relationships with partners, suppliers and customers and influence others. You see opportunities rather than limitations and have the right balance between being instructive, setting direction, coaching and supporting our production site.

You will be joining Fill & Finish Expansions, a newly established and growing area within Product Supply, Quality & IT (PSQIT). Our team is responsible for designing, planning, and building major fill & finish expansion projects across Novo Nordisk. We are dedicated to serving the needs of millions of patients by rethinking our fill & finish facilities with the use of modern technology.
