About the role

As our M&A Information Security Specialist you will represent the entire Global Information Security area towards the acquired companies and work closely with relevant M&A colleagues to maintain and enhance security measures.

  • Collaborate with relevant teams to assess and integrate information security practices in acquired companies
  • Function as a trusted advisor between Global Information Security and the acquired companies to ensure alignment on security objectives
  • Where relevant, ensure that Novo Nordisk policies, processes and technical protection are implemented, following a risk-based approach, or ensure that policies and procedures tailored to the specific needs of the acquired companies are implemented
  • Follow and contribute to the operating model for handling information security across Novo Nordisk owned companies and Novo Nordisk partners
  • Keep up to date with legal requirements to the security posture of the specific company, supplementing Novo Nordisk requirements, and ensure that implementation takes place
  • Facilitate secure connections between the acquired companies and Novo Nordisk when that is deemed necessary to ensure seamless collaboration
  • Conduct regular security assessments to identify and mitigate potential risks
  • Provide training and support to employees in acquired companies on Novo Nordisk's security requirements

Your primary stakeholders are:

  • Global Information Security
  • Global IT Operations
  • M&A teams in Novo Nordisk
  • IT departments of acquired companies
  • Legal and compliance teams
  • HR departments of acquired companies
  • External information security consultants

Candidate profile

We expect you have a Bachelor’s degree in information security, computer science, or a related field.

Moreover, you have:

  • Proven experience in information security, preferably in an M&A context and a technical context
  • Strong understanding of security frameworks and best practices, while being able to set diverse levels of information security in different contexts
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience with making yourself understood by people with a different background than yours, both in writing and through presentations and personal interaction
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or similar are a plus
  • Hands on experience with information security assessments and/or system hardening is a plus but not a prerequisite

It is a requirement that you can pass a security background check.

You will be collaborating with many different people, ranging from your information security colleagues and technical experts, to senior management, business colleagues and people who are far from your daily life. You will therefore navigate different situations and personalities. You will succeed if you are diplomatic and enjoy an unpredictable workday. Many of your tasks require you to be active and take the initiative to find a good pragmatic solution on your own. Therefore, it must be natural for you to reach out to your colleagues for guidance and alignment. Your stakeholders will expect you to be calm and approachable and always deliver what you have promised.
