The position
The position as HS incubator in Novo Nordisk Health and Safety is limited to one year, as the purpose is for you to gain knowledge and experience that will prepare and qualify you for your next career step as HS Partner (coordinator) or HS Supporter in one of our development or production units. Novo Nordisk is growing fast – and so is the need for health and safety professionals across the business.
You will be introduced to Health and Safety processes such as incidents, workplace risk assessments, safety inspections, management of changes, audits etc. That way you will get an understanding of the backbone in our Health and Safety management system and the processes it entails. You will also learn by doing. During the one-year assignment you will rotate from process to process. You will e.g., join our global support helpline, accident reporting team, chemical support team, and you will assist our Health and Safety Partners and Health and Safety Specialists in maintaining and developing the Health and Safety processes, IT systems, trainings etc.
Qualifications
As Health and Safety Incubator, you have a special interest and basic knowledge within Heath and Safety other experiences and skills you will bring include:
- A degree, ideally in a relevant subject such as physiotherapy, ergotherapy psychology, engineering, machinery, chemistry, biology, social sciences or similar.
- Some experience in health and safety, preferable 2 years or more
- Basic knowledge about legislative requirements and/or ISO 45001 standards.
- Professional fluency in both written and verbal English.
Most importantly you have a fundamental desire and passion to make a difference within Health and Safety. The key to success is your ability to learn and to collaborate with colleagues in Novo Nordisk Health and Safety and stakeholders in Line of Business. You thrive with a mix of both strategic and hands-on tasks. You must be prepared for spending some of your workdays at our sites in Zealand (e.g. Kalundborg Hillerød or Måløv).
About the department
Novo Nordisk Health & Safety is Novo Nordisk's Centre of Excellence in the field of Health and Safety with around 60 dedicated colleagues. We are located in Bagsværd, Denmark. Our role is to safeguard employee safety, health, and well-being as an integrated part of how Novo Nordisk do business, by providing targeted support and easy-to-use tools and guidance within topics such as mental well-being, safety (including construction safety) and ergonomics.
