The Position
As Supplier Development Senior Manager, you will be heading-up a team of Supply Chain Project Managers that drives supplier collaboration projects to further improve the collaboration with the supplier base in Novo Nordisk. Secondly, you will take charge of driving larger programs.
The position is a newly established role, and you have the opportunity to further build the full team and bringing everyone together to foster an engaging and sustainable work environment.
The role will be reporting into the Director of ISM and you will become a valuable member of ISM team, actively taking part in its development and leadership. The ISM team is a growing and diverse team, that currently consists of +100 colleagues represented by 28 different nationalities.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Fostering a climate of high well-being, people development, and innovation within your team and across related organizational departments
- Taking responsibility for setting the vision for the supplier collaboration and creating roadmaps in close collaboration with your peers
- Owning a portfolio of expansion programs, actively taking part in steering committees to ensure momentum and clarity in bringing programs to the finish line
- Driving the Supplier Development and Excellence work on the behalf of ISM, actively engaging with Novo Nordisk Supply Partners and Supply Chain
- Ensuring strong collaboration with the purchase planning team and the Supply Management teams
In addition, you actively participate in shaping the strategic direction of the department.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, we believe you:
- Hold a master’s degree in engineering, business or another relevant field with major in supply chain or operations
- Demonstrate proven experience as a people manager who builds trust, drives engagement, and ensures team well-being, ideally in leading leaders
- Bring at least 10 years’ experience in supply chain, ideally supply management within a complex organisation
- Possess expertise in driving transformational projects and programs in diverse stakeholder landscape
- Showcase proficiency in both spoken and written English
Relevant certifications such as APICS CSCP, Six Sigma, and/or project management (Prince 2) would be considered a plus.
As a person, you have solid stakeholder management and communication skills. You are authentic and empathetic, with strong interpersonal skills that enable you to build trust and sense talent and potential. You are a people leader by nature, able to coach and lead others in a complex and global stakeholder landscape. You are a strategic thinker with an end-to-end mindset, driven to introduce new ideas and finding solutions to complex problems. You thrive in cooperating with a variety of stakeholders, setting ambitious goals, and challenging the status quo. Lastly, you successfully build strong networks and foster collaboration, gaining commitment from both internal and external stakeholders.
About the Department
ISM is part of Sourcing Operations (SoOp), which has the overall operational responsibility for the inbound supply chain of Novo Nordisk and consists of 650 employees. We use our differences to create novel ideas and high-quality solutions to ensure continuous improvement of the SoOp function globally.
You will be working in the headquarters with an environment characterized by innovation, openness, and highly engaged colleagues who are dedicated to helping us change lives for the better for patients around the world.
The current office location is Bagsværd; however, we are planning to move to Taastrup in January 2026.
