IT Project Manager – IT Delivery Lead

Do you want to play a key role in the continued supply chain warehouse expansion in Novo Nordisk? Are you an experienced IT project manager (Delivery Lead) who knows what it takes to succeed with high complex IT (SAP) Projects? What’s in it for you

We are on an exciting journey in expanding the external warehouse capacity within Novo Nordisk integrating from our SAP ECC and ICH to external warehouse management systems. In this position you will get the opportunity to play a vital role in succeeding with this initiative securing warehouse capacity for our own production for the next many years.

As IT Project Manager (IT Delivery Lead) you will lead one or two IT tracks of the integration to External Warehouse together with IT functionals, an OCM lead, Scrum Master, IT QA, Product Owner and Product Manager.

The IT Delivery Lead is responsible for the successful delivery and deployment of the standard IT template integration from our SAP ECC and SAP ICH ATTP towards the external supplier

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Tactical Operational portfolio management and project execution in collaboration with Product manager and Business Owners
  • Detailed IT integration planning, preparation, set-up, readiness and cut-over activities.
  • Manage project timelines and budgets in collaboration with the Scrum Master and Product owner to ensure successful completion of the integration
  • Ensure clear scope per project incl. deadline in close collaboration with line of business
  • Identify and mitigate risks to ensure project objectives are met
  • Communicate project status, updates, and outcomes to internal as well as external stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

In this role, you'll be responsible for tracking and reporting on project and progression, ensuring secure pre-analysis of project. Additionally, you'll play a key role in fostering team growth and providing constructive feedback to support continuous development.

What we scout for

To be successful in this role, we require you meet most of the following:

  • Academic degree in computer science, Information Technology, Supply Chain, Project Management or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in project management, preferably within the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Ability to manage a complex IT integration implementation and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Extensive experience in planning and implementing IT systems for global transformations with a strong understanding of digital transformation
  • Excellent communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge about working SAP solutions is a huge benefit

As a person you have a pragmatic mindset, and you are solution oriented. You can drive continuous improvement in a highly complex stakeholder environment. You can communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, using clear and concise language. And finally, you are result oriented and always have your eyes on reaching the implementation on time.

The team waiting for you

You will become a part of an expanding but experienced team with many expected new joiners in the first quarter of 2025. The team is anchored in DD&IT Product Supply, Supply Chain and primarily located in Ballerup (Greater Copenhagen area), Denmark and work together with our Product Supply colleagues, meaning that you will get to work closely with the users and technologies that drive our global manufacturing processes to the next level.

About the department
DD&IT Product Supply is a unit responsible for more than 40 global IT systems at Novo Nordisk including the operation, maintenance, support and development of these systems. The strategic objective of the unit is to be the IT partner for the business ensuring that we provide the IT solutions and support which is needed to support the Novo Nordisk production solution as well as supply chain needs worldwide. The systems are used on a global scale by all areas of the business from R&D to Sales and are critical to the execution of key business processes such as development, manufacturing, sales, finance, etc.
