The position
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will:
- Handle daily problems and challenges by driving systematic problem solving, finding the root cause, and implementing continuous improvements that continuously increase uptime and efficiency.
- Make suggestions for optimizing equipment and processes, and drive the design, planning, implementation, and qualification of optimization projects with our project department.
- Participate in safety and risk workshops and implement derived changes to the equipment.
- Take the initiative to install sensors to monitor the health of the equipment and leverage data for continuous improvements in equipment reliability.
You will collaborate with many different stakeholders, both internally and externally, to ensure high reliability and stability in our production. You will be employed in Technical Support, which is a part of Manufacturing and is responsible for all production on the site and is a part of Novo Nordisk Pharmatech A/S, which produces important ingredients for pharmaceutical production.
Qualifications
To succeed in this position, you:
- Have a background as a Mechanical Engineer, Marine Engineer, or similar, with strong competencies in production equipment and utilities.
- Have experience with GMP and LEAN and can use tools for systematic problem solving.
- Are proficient in Danish and English.
- Have worked with the design of equipment and installations, including validation and qualification.
- Know how to set specific requirements for production equipment and have knowledge of automation, regulation, and measurement technology.
You can use tools for assessing maintenance, have knowledge of SAP, are familiar with IT systems, and are curious about new technology for data collection, improvements, and digitalization.
About the department
Technical Support is responsible for production equipment, utilities, maintenance, calibration, and facility management at our production site in Køge. The department consists of a workshop team, a Facility Service team, a planning and purchasing team, as well as the team that you will be a part of: "Equipment & Utilities," which consists of 11 engineers, machinists, and technicians.
We optimize and maintain all production equipment in collaboration with the other employees in Manufacturing. We run improvement projects and solve daily challenges with our equipment and utilities. We are also responsible for planning and support on facility management at our site.
We perform risk analyses to optimize maintenance on our production equipment so that production can run without unplanned downtime. We are in the process of implementing SAP for the management and documentation of our maintenance activities. All equipment gets a risk-based maintenance strategy before we move it to SAP.
