The Position
As Medical Manager you will be a leading partner in the generation, interpretation, and implementation of medical and scientific evidence. You will work close together with internal and external stakeholders (Key opinion leaders (KOLs) and other health care providers (HCPs)). You will also be responsible for ensuring that Novo Nordisk Denmark (NNDK) is prepared and trained to provide quality scientific interactions with the external scientific community.
Your main accountabilities will:

Act as the scientific expert, dedicating 20-40% of time to engaging with external stakeholders (HCPs and KOLs) to generate, interpret, and implement evidence and insights

Co-develop and drive the Danish Medical Affairs strategy and activity plans within therapeutic areas, setting the strategic direction and scientific narrative

Provide medical input to and review material and activities generated by internal functions

Manage investigator sponsored studies (ISSs), drive real-world evidence generation, and lead the publication of scientific evidence

Serve as a core member of the Brand Team, collaborating closely with the cross-functional team to define and execute the strategy
Qualifications
To be successful in this role you hold a master or preferably a Ph.D. degree in medicine, pharmaceutical or other natural sciences, and have 5+ years of proven experience, in management of Medical Affairs activities, clinical trials, observational studies, project management, development of medical education material and planning of and conducting advisory boards/expert panels.

Have a natural curiosity and sincere interest for pharmaceutical and medical science to drive change to the benefit of patients

Have a proven track record of professional experience within the pharmaceutical industry in diabetes or cardiovascular medicine. Ideally, you have experience working with GLP-1 receptor agonists

Have an innate ability to interact authoritatively with key internal and external stakeholders

Are fluent in both Danish and English in oral and written forms.
Candidate should be based in region Capital, Denmark.
About the Department
The Medical & Scientific Affairs (MSA) department constitutes Head of Medical, a group of five Medical Managers and three Regional Medical Advisors, who are responsible for driving and/or supporting the scientific activities within the Novo Nordisk focus therapy areas. As part of our key missions, we strive to improve patients' lives by ensuring healthcare decisions are based on latest evidence.
We collect, interpret, and implement scientific evidence and insights related to our focus areas in close collaboration with key stakeholders. We manage investigator sponsored studies (ISS) and support & drive generation and interpretation of real-world studies across Denmark. Additionally, we support clinical trial activities and provide scientific input to activities across the organisation.
