The position
As Novo Nordisk expands and grows there is an increasing need for Novo Nordisk Health and Safety to strengthen the H&S support we provide for our production and business unit (Line of Business) in expansion projects and when Novo Nordisk acquires new sites. The H&S hazards in expansions projects (e.g. construction) are often different from the hazards in normal operations and the onboarding of new M&A’s, demands close alliance and coordination with stakeholders across Novo Nordisk.
As an H&S Partner for Expansions, M&A’s in Novo Nordisk Health and Safety, your primary role is to inspire, enable and engage with Line of Business, providing support in efficient and timely H&S management of expansion projects and in onboarding new M&A’s into the Novo Nordisk H&S Management System.
Additionally, you will serve as a crucial link and trusted advisor, facilitate seamless communication and be the eyes and ears in the global organisation, ensuring strategic alignment with business priorities.
In this role, we expect you to:
- Collaborate, coordinate and support regarding H&S in Expansion projects and M&A’s
- Oversee implementation of the H&S strategy and the selected focus areas of Safety (including construction safety), Physical well-being, Mental well-being and employee health promotion.
- Liaise with senior management and provide input to H&S Management Reviews
- Provide sparring on consultancy approaches and H&S tasks with colleagues in Novo Nordisk Health and Safety, partnering and collaborating with specialist anchor persons as well as in other functional areas.
- Coordinate strategic approach in close collaboration with Novo Nordisk Health and Safety’s management team
The role entails close collaboration, coordination and alignment with three other H&S Partners, with Novo Nordisk’s H&S Process Managers and auditors, as well as with the cross-functional areas involved in construction and M&A activities e.g. Environment, HR etc.
The role has a global approach, cross-organisational coordination, senior management deliverables, and clear reference to Novo Nordisk Health and Safety’s management team.
Qualifications
To succeed in this position, you have:
- Strong background within Health and Safety, including knowledge of construction safety.
- Professional experience working as an H&S partner of H&S coordinator, preferable in a large and global organization.
- Proven expertise in change management, demonstrated through the ability to serve as a reliable H&S partner or coordinator, as well as in the role of a Project Manager
- Strong expertise in stakeholder management
- Experience from the pharmaceutical industry is an advantage but not a prerequisite.
As an individual, you embody a strategic mindset and diplomatic skills, demonstrating willingness and courage to explore new disciplines with a proactive and adaptable approach. You are curios, eager for embracing novel challenges, and keen to learn more about how to drive business impact, continuous improvement and by progressing the agenda on safety, health and well-being.
About the department
The job is in team H&S Partnering and Projects, one of four teams in Novo Nordisk Health and Safety. The department is situated in Bagsværd, Denmark and has around 60 dedicated HS colleagues who drive continuous improvement across Novo Nordisk globally.
