The position
As IT System Manager, your role is to ensure the efficient and stable operation of one or more IT systems and laboratory equipment and associated infrastructure that support our QC, laboratory, and production area. You communicate and collaborate closely with diverse colleagues both within the line of business, department, and our central IT organization to ensure compliance with Novo Nordisk’s requirements and health authorities’ regulations. Some of your tasks encompass:
- Implement, validate, and operate IT systems and computerized equipment for QC and laboratory departments globally, including configuration management and system documentation.
- Lead projects for system planning, design, implementation, factory acceptance testing, and validation of laboratory systems in collaboration with users and suppliers.
- Manage IT security by applying hotfixes, patches, anti-malware measures, and ensuring continuity through backups, recovery processes, and system life cycle management.
- Troubleshoot and maintain IT systems, including virtual environments, Windows servers, databases, and network infrastructure, while ensuring performance monitoring.
- Ensure compliance through testing, annual user reviews, and managing configuration and system upgrades in alignment with global standards.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, we imagine you preferably:
- Hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in IT, electronic engineering, or a related discipline
- A minimum of 2-5 years of hands-on experience in IT System Management in a controlled and regulated sector
- Bring expertise in IT and/or automation and server and infrastructure operations such as patching, performance monitoring, and network knowledge
- Show proficiency in both spoken and written English
- Have project management skills/experience and have planned and executed implementation of IT systems and can act as liaison between IT and Line of Business

About the department
Finished Product Manufacturing Science and Technology (FPMSAT) is responsible for the manufacturing development of all devices and packaging related processes at Novo Nordisk. We are an end-to-end corporate organization developing products for high volume production, establishing control strategy of the product, developing, and implementing the production equipment at the production sites all over the world, and developing innovative and digital solutions to our processes.
Finished Product Manufacturing (FPM) is a part of Novo Nordisk Product Supply, a global production network at the forefront of technology and quality production of pharmaceutical products. At FPM, we not only manufacture all finished products for people living with serious chronic diseases, we also use our competencies to drive technology leadership and improve standards across our core technologies to support the growing efforts into completely new production platforms and therapy areas for Novo Nordisk. Our global network consists of around 6,000 colleagues across ten countries. Here, we are responsible for the manufacturing of all finished products, including devices, needles, assembly, and packaging. As more and more people need our products, we support Novo Nordisk's initiatives in new therapy areas.
