The Senior Manager position is responsible for driving and executing processes for demand planning and inventory management to ensure supply for the Canadian market.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

Demand Planning (S&OP and S&OE) : 45%

  • Responsible for driving and executing the monthly demand forecasting process
  • Ensure alignment with sales & forecasting and brand teams
  • Manage and operate OMP monthly demand planning cycle
  • Monitor forecast accuracy & perform analysis
  • Develop demand scenarios covering S&OE (0 to 12 months) & S&OP Horizon (6 months to 3 years)
  • Drive internal Demand Planning decision meeting
  • Contribute to monthly S&OP process with PS Supply Chain resulting in operational and tactical supply/demand analyses & decisions
  • Drive monthly Demand Review meeting with S&OP & Launch in NNCI
  • Proactively align supply & demand imbalances and collaborate with PS Supply Chain to identify gap closing actions

Product Supply Management: 30%

  • NNCI lead for Sales and operations execution (S&OE) process
  • Lead weekly meetings with EUCAN and IO partners
  • Manage product supply activities for product life cycle changes: new product introductions, discontinuations, PS transfers
  • Manage NNCI planning parameter review and suggest changes to optimize supply and define the right inventory levels
  • Lead product supply for both system generated MRP types and Manual/Re-order point items
  • Collaborate locally and globally with Quality, Regulatory, Labeling, Marketing and other departments on issues and initiatives including backorders and other quality issues to minimize the supply impact and continue to meet corporate goals.

Inventory Management: 15%

  • Ensure supply allocation in S&OP targets accounts for right-sizing of inventory in the tactical horizon (6 months to 3 years)
  • Optimize Finished Goods Inventory
  • In collaboration with Finance Business partner, manage sample budget tracking on behalf of brand managers for both Rare Disease and diabetes business units
  • Process expert and escalation for inventory accounting so 3PL transmissions and inventory are accurately reflected in SAP and are reconciled. Support Supply Chain Analyst, problem solve and backup to ensure month-end reporting is completed accurately and on-time and respond to internal and external audit queries.

Drive Improvement Activities/Projects: 10%

  • Identify opportunities to simplify our processes through automation
  • Drive a stakeholder management agenda with key stakeholders in NNCI and HQ & PS Sites
  • Perform supply/demand analysis requested by Finance management/organization
  • Guide and support the development of dashboards and analytics
  • Act as a key resource to cross-functional partners for supply-related processes
  • Supply Chain End to End Planning Excellence Area Responsible Super User; meet monthly with global and Head Quarters Supply Chain Super Users to review better practices, challenge process steps within the supply chain and share knowledge across all business areas.

Key Compliance:

  • Comply with requirements from internal and external auditors.
  • Adhere to Novo Nordisk policies and procedures.
  • Ensure ISO training is up-to-date. Good Clinical Practices Procedures (GCP).

Education (Minimum Requirements):

  • University Degree in business/commerce, Project Management, or engineering

Preferred Education Requirement:

  • ASCM certification
  • A major in Supply Chain (Logistics/Operations)

Experience (Minimum Requirements):

  • Minimum of 7 years of progressively responsible business-related experience.
  • Prior supply/demand planning experience required
  • Demonstrated project planning and execution experience
  • Experienced engagement and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders

Preferred Experience Requirement:

  • Solid knowledge of SAP SD/MM and automated forecasting applications.
  • At least 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry
