Your main workplace will be our great office in Oslo, Nydalen. In this position you will be working flexibly, adjusted to the needs of your studies as well as to our relevant business needs. The expected working hours will be 16 hours per week, during normal working hours. You will have the possibility to work additional hours during summer and peak periods.

The Position

As a Finance Student Assistant, you will be responsible to provide hands-on support in relevant data analytics to the Finance and Operations department, as well as selected functions in the line of business. In addition, you will be the go-to person for on-site support on invoice handling and sourcing or purchasing, advising the organisation on questions around approach and policy.

You main Accountabilities will be to:

  • Support the sales and marketing departments with data analytics on an ad hoc basis, and present of market performance analysis to sales team including driving proper follow-up and corrective action
  • Be the go-to person in the team in terms of PowerBI development and drive continuous improvement in analysis and processes
  • Advise the organisation on questions around sourcing approach and policy
  • Support the organisation with sourcing process for selected bigger purchases in collaboration with LoB owner and Business Area sourcing manager
  • Provide support and build knowledge in the local organisation regarding invoice handling

Qualifications

As a Finance Student Assistant you need to be currently studying within the field of finance, economy, business administration or the equivalent at a university or business school in Oslo, Norway. In addition, you need to be in the beginning of your studies and have as a minimum 2 years of your studies left before graduating from your current program. Moreover, you need to have good capabilities with MS Office programmes (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).

To be successful in this role, you need to:

  • Have excellent English language skills, in both written and spoken; Norwegian is not a requirement
  • Preferably some relevant previous work experience
  • Be a fast learner and can easily acquire new skills
  • Bring good communicative and collaborative capabilities
  • Be eager to gain and develop business understanding
  • Take initiative and are flexible as well as proactive in the way you approach your work
  • Have a can-do attitude and enjoy providing good service
  • Be well organised, detail-oriented and have a quality and compliance mind-set
  • Have a focus on being one team and have an “all hands on deck mentality”
