Overview:

EUROIMMUN US is seeking a Portfolio Manager, Autoimmunity & Allergy. This position assumes responsibility for developing and implementing strategies to grow the assigned portfolio. Working alongside cross-functional teams in R&D and commercial, this position will guide your success with these critical product lines, leading all aspects of product development, focusing on key product requirements, and supporting market analysis, planning, and commercial strategy. Key success metrics of this position are financial growth, portfolio profitability, customer allegiance scores, new product introductions, and improvement in brand position for the overall portfolio. The position requires significant thought leadership, strategic organizational change skills, and the ability to influence across a wide variety of functions/roles.

Essential Functions:

  • Manage new and existing products in the portfolio by creating product marketing plans including but not limited to go-to-market plans, sales promotion strategies, product launch strategies, communication plans, pricing strategies, etc.
  • Draft and create a positioning framework for products by conducting thorough market research, competitive intelligence, and healthcare demands. Ensure product-market fit for existing and novel products. Provide appropriate feedback if otherwise.
  • Develop product requirements documents for novel product launches or existing portfolio expansion.
  • Stay abreast of diagnostic guideline changes and competition new product releases and update business cases and planned strategies.
  • Create a Gap Analysis Framework by conducting a thorough analysis of customer’s needs & requirements, for existing and novel products. Provide solutions to mitigate commercial needs to accelerate market adoption for the portfolio.
  • Own customer concerns/issue regarding portfolio and raise them to appropriate internal teams.
  • Proactively monitor/benchmark key developments of competitors to provide early warning for potential threats and opportunities for successful implementation of prioritized critical initiatives and tactical plans.
  • Coalesce with the marketing communication teams to design and develop customer-facing marketing resources (flyers, brochures, presentations, videos, blogs, social media content, etc.) that are compliant with the regulatory standards.
  • Ensure close coordination with peers and key matrix partners including the scientific, commercial, and regulatory teams to develop product lifecycle management plans and frameworks.
  • Draft business plans/cases for the long-term product roadmap that fulfills healthcare advances, diagnostic guideline changes, and competition advancement reflecting the company’s business models, pricing strategies, and workflow requirements.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in in relevant medical science area, marketing, or business AND
  • A minimum of five years of developing strategy in product management, commercial sales, or marketing role.
  • A minimum of two years’ experience in diagnostics or life sciences industry.
  • Travel requirements: To capture the voice of customers and feedback, frequent travel will be required, which includes travel to customer sites and tradeshows. This may include up to 5 days/month.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in relevant medical science area, marketing, or business.
  • Ph.D., or M.B.A. strongly preferred.
  • Experience demonstrating innovative marketing strategies in a competitive marketplace.
  • Relevant diagnostic IVD experience is strongly preferred.
  • Experience developing strategy and successfully driving operational-related goals around product management required
  • Experience in marketing in a scientific environment will offer additional success in this role.
  • US Market experience with launch and product lifecycle stages experience is preferred.
