Job Description

Role & Responsibilities

  • Industry: Biotech which includes Biopharma, Biostartup, BioAgri, BioSimilars, etc.
  • Business Development
    • Conduct market analysis covering competition, products and customers in order to deliver strategic insights, drive growth and increase wallet share for the consumables business.
    • Drive customer relationship management activities with KOL / Decision makers / Influencers at all leadership levels within our existing customers and prospects.
    • Lead new business acquisition from client identification, project proposals development, team member alignments, product sampling & validation and pricing negotiation.
    • Assess and identify growth opportunities by using fact-based analysis, market trends, competitive intelligence, customer needs analysis, technology advancements, policy & regulation changes, etc.
    • Work closely with other divisional team members to identify and demonstrate existing relationships helping develop new business or growing existing share of wallet.
    • Work closely and support commercial and Key Accounts team to ensure timely responses to customer inquiries & RFQ.
    • Prepare and deliver business/technical/capability presentations.
    • Identify potential portfolio enhancement and work closely with product managers to explore NPI.
    • Maintain and present monthly progress on business development initiatives helping meet organic growth.
    • Drive and track project progress, making sure that risks are proactively assessed and mitigated, problems are rapidly identified and resolved, using project management tools and techniques to deliver on commitments.
  • Strategy Development & Deployment
    • The incumbent provides analysis, often under timelines, to improve strategic decision making, drive revenue and increase profitability. Incumbent will work with Consumables leadership team and internal partners to enable data-driven decision-making and build strategic roadmaps for execution.
    • Measure and communicate industry trends relevant to strategic marketing and emerging business opportunities.
    • Work closely with marketing and sales teams to develop strategies for market penetration and growth.
    • Co-lead Identification, planning and execution of key critical initiatives in alignment with business strategy.
    • Handle and define processes for AOP/STRAP in collaboration with leadership, marketing, commercial and finance.
    • Lead key growth initiatives. Drive and coordinate our strategic plan (STRAP) initiatives including organic and inorganic growth strategies.

· Proficient in IT skills, such as Excel tools, CRM, Power BI, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Project charters

· Ability to multitask and prioritize workload keeping result in mind.

· Collaborative approach for driving growth.

· Self-motivated, able to work independently and influence others to move projects forward in a fast-paced environment.

· Ability to apply integrative thinking and eye for business to think through issues, then articulate recommendations to get agreements.

Education & Work experience:

· Strong academic qualification such as Masters/bachelor’s in science.

· Candidates with MBA from top B school will be added advantage.

· 10-12 years’ experience in roles such as Sales, Business Development, Strategic Marketing, Management consulting or National/Corporate accounts

· Relevant experience working in analytical instruments, bio / life science would be preferred.
