Our Senior Sales Managers are in charge of leading a team of sales representatives who sell research products and solutions within a defined territory. They are accountable for ensuring the team has effective customer relations, develops opportunities for growth within an existing customer base, and assures market penetration and profitability while achieving sales and profit forecasts. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced people leader who enjoys completing account planning and forecasting, analyzing reports on business, and handling performance of the team!

Key responsibilities will be:

  • Leads the strategic direction the sales team to drive sales tactics to meet plan and expand business for Singapore territory

  • Ensures team maintains a pipeline of opportunities to meet or exceed sales objectives;

  • Coordinates actively across different functional teams (eg Marketing, Technical Support, Field Applications and Commercial Operations) to ensure maximum market segment penetration within the territory and enhance our customer allegiance.

  • Analyses the sales activities, sales projects and key performance indicators of the territory and takes appropriate actions to steer the business to plan and beyond.

  • Perform sales joint calls with sales teams and potential customers in the assigned territory

  • Engage Key opinion leaders or Decision makers in assigned territory

  • Applies CRM tool (SFDC) to drive funnel management and forecast accuracy

  • Research competitor and industry activity and keep informed of new products/services and other general information of interest to customers incorporating this data in the business plan; Introduce new products and solutions.

  • Show initiative to develop programs to drive growth in any economic condition

  • Maintain accurate reporting, records, and files necessary for proper management of region

  • Positively represent Thermo Fisher Scientific at all times throughout customer locations

Keys to Success:


  • A Bachelor’s degree in Science or Business


  • 10+ years of relevant, industry-specific experience, preferably in the Life Science or equivalent work

  • Prior sales management experience and proven leadership abilities
