Job Description

The position will provide Quality Control testing and inspection activities to support the Manufacturing and Packaging areas and the QC Technician will be accountable for the acceptance of products tested within the scope of the job function. There are no Supervisory, Line Management or Budgetary Control requirements within this job role. The job role is defined within the organisation chart for the QA department and will report directly to the QC Team Leader. The position will require the QC Technician to observe all statutory requirements of the Site H&S regulations, COSSH, cGMP and GLP.
The role is to undertake product performance testing and inspection to the quality specification ensuring all necessary documentation is completed and is compiled in the batch history before the product is submitted for release for sale.

Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct testing and inspection of in-process components, pre-packs, and final packs according to authorised quality specifications.
- Maintain QC trend analysis data and supply to the resolution of technical problems.
- Perform environmental monitoring quality control activities.
- Use SAP for updating product status and handling quarantined materials.
- Review and update QC worksheets, POI, and Post-Issue Worksheets to reflect the authorised quality specification requirements.
- Adhere to all rules, policies, and procedures regarding Health, Safety, and Environmental matters.
- Undertake any other tasks or duties deemed within the competence of the job holder.
- Follow procedures within the QMS to work compliantly to standards and regulations as instructed by the need of the business.

Minimum requirements and qualification:
- Educated to Degree, HNC/HND level in a scientific field due to technical nature of the products and processes employed.
- Proven laboratory experience.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to strictly adhere to quality specifications.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to determine root causes of deviations.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
