Role Purpose:

The Inside Sales Team is part of North Europe Commercial Organization executing remote sales of consumables and minor accessories supporting an existing database of customers in the Western Europe. The product portfolio includes consumables for Analytical product line (AA, MAS, LC, GC, IR, UV, ICP, TEA)

The Inside Sales Specialist is responsible for aftermarket business development in the UKI area with accountability for driving growth of consumables and minor accessories sales. This shall be achieved by working with Customer Care, Service and Sales field teams, Product Specialists involving all activities which contribute to promotion and sales of entire consumable portfolio consistent with strategic business goals. Additionally this position is responsible for building and maintaining strong customer and channel relationships and providing pre- and post-sales support.

Role is an inside sales role based in the Krakow (PL) office

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and grow profitable business growth for the consumables & accessory business within given territory, as well as leveraging the entire aftermarket product and service
  • Meet or exceed quotas within assigned region while supporting management’s strategic objectives
  • Actively involved in Instrument and service lead generation
  • Desire and willingness to hunt for new business with cold-calling activities
  • Promote on-line purchasing channels and standing order agreements during client interactions
  • Interface with other departments as required, handling customer situations, research customer issues and solving internal coordination problems, maintains communication by troubleshooting, reporting and tracking problems
  • Assesses competitors by analyzing and summarizing competitor information and trends; identifying sales opportunities.
  • Develops sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts; soliciting new accounts; building report; providing technical information and explanations; preparing quotations.
  • Develops accounts by checking customer's buying history; suggesting related and new items; explaining technical features.
  • Maintains and improves quality results by following standards; recommending improved policies and procedures.
  • Updates job knowledge by studying new product descriptions; participating in educational opportunities.
  • Coordinate with other company departments to prevent and resolve issues in product quoting, sales, and shipping
  • Communicate new product and service opportunities, special developments, information, or feedback gathered through customer contact to appropriate owner
  • Participate in marketing events such as seminars and trade shows
  • Prepare a variety of reports, including activity, follow-up, progress on the sales outcomes
  • Make cold calls and prepare quotations and tenders to prospective customers, actively promote company’s products
  • Using SAP, SFDC, CRM and other company software if needed to prepare reports

Role requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in chemistry, organic chemistry, biochemistry, biotechnology or similar scientific field
  • Fluent in English, additional language skills like French, German, Italian is a plus
  • Chemistry background - Technical product knowledge
  • Strong process and IT capabilities
  • Ability to work with little or no supervision
  • Organized, methodical and able to multi-task
  • Excellent listening, communication, very good relationship skills
  • Result focused, action oriented
  • Good customer service ethic
  • Previous sales experience preferred but not required
  • Availability to travel <10%
