Purpose

Implements and administers human resources programs, policies and practices in a service center/shared services HR model. Maintains detailed knowledge of HR service areas and answers employee inquiries pertaining to HR programs, processes, procedures and communications. Responds to employee service needs such as document requests, employment form completion, onboarding assistance, HRIS data maintenance, benefits administration, payroll processing or other HR functions as assigned. Serves as escalation point for shared services support as needed. Maintains records related to human resources activities, policy changes or additions.

It's a fixed-term contract (18 months).

Responsibilities

  • General HR support for employees and managers, assisting with employee relations, policy interpretation, and HR-related inquiries.

  • Coordinating onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring smooth transitions for new hires and employees leaving the company.

  • Maintaining and updating employee data in the HR system, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable laws and company policies.

  • Supporting the implementation of HR programs, including performance management, training, and employee development initiatives.

  • Ensuring compliance with local labor laws and company policies, providing support to employees and managers on legal and procedural matters.

  • Supporting the management of employee benefits programs and collaborating with external providers to ensure timely and accurate administration.

  • Assisting in preparing HR reports and metrics, such as employee turnover, training programs, etc.

  • Supporting the HR team with various administrative tasks, including preparing documentation and maintaining employee files.

  • Acting as a liaison between employees and the HR department, ensuring effective communication and resolution of HR-related issues.

  • Assisting in organizing and coordinating HR events, including employee engagement activities and training sessions.

  • Participating in HR projects and process improvement initiatives to streamline operations and enhance employee experience.

  • Maintaining confidentiality and appropriately handling sensitive employee information.

  • Supporting internal and external audits related to HR processes and employee records.

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of general HR experience, including employee relations and HR administration.

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to respond professionally and empathetically to HR inquiries.

  • Solid understanding of HR policies, labor laws, and compliance requirements.

  • Experience with HR systems (e.g., Workday).

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.

  • Proactive work approach, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships across different levels of the organization.

Preferred Characteristics

  • Experience working in an international HR environment or a global organization.

  • Experience in HR projects or process improvement initiatives.
