Exciting opportunity to be part of the Labcorp 2025 Global Internship Program as a Intern-Lab assistant in Shanghai, China!

As a Labcorp intern, you will have the opportunity to support meaningful assignments that compliment an education in Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, Finance, Marketing, Communications, Business and Sales - and are inspiring and valuable in our mission to improve health and improve lives across the globe. In addition to department work, we support your professional development and career exploration through program workshops, leadership speakers, employee resource group introductions, new hire panel discussions and small group “coffee chats”.

Internship Assignment Summary:

  • Learns how to document work and Maintains study documentation and laboratory records.
  • Learns to use, sets-up, maintains, operates and performs routine and non-routine maintenance on general equipment. Including problem identification and resolution.
  • Performs quality control review of data.
  • Learns to plan signed workload on a daily basis and effectively schedule multiple assignments.
  • Assist in logging in and keeping track of standards, matrix, special reagents and study samples by electronic sample management system.
  • performs routine instrument calibration and maintenance on general instruments
  • Tracks the usage of lab consumables and orders them.
  • Promotes a cohesive team environment.
  • Learns to plan assigned workload on a daily basis and effectively schedule multiple assignments.
  • Maintains a clean and safe laboratory work environment.
  • Participates in client visits as needed, assists in communicating technical information.
  • Participates in process improvement initiatives.
  • Learn how to organize experiment document, and how archive the documents.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education/Qualifications/Skills:

  • Bachelor of Science/Arts (BS/BA) degree in chemistry or related scientific field
  • Familiar with the use of standard laboratory equipment.
  • Basic knowledge of computers and software programs.
