About the Team:

The department of Bioanalytical is responsible for determining the level of unknown drug concentrations in both animal and human samples. We can do this by performing sample extractions (LLE, PPT and SPE). We use Mass Spectrometers (LCMS) to generate the data (Chromatograms) we produce. A Calibration curve is a regression model used to predict the unknown concentrations of analytes of interest based on the response of the instrument (Mass Spec) to the known standards.

All methods used in the department have to be first developed by a specific team before being validated by another team. This ensures they are robust and fir for purpose before sample analysis begins.

The Intern would be working in the Bioanalytical Operations team and will be mainly responsible for the analysis of the unknown Tox (animal) and clinical (human) samples

There will be opportunities throughout the year to shadow in the other teams to gain a greater understanding of the department and to understand how crucial the relationships between all areas are for the smooth running of BioA
