Labcorp is a leading global drug development services company and we provide support to the Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology industries.

We are currently looking to hire a Driver / Materials Handling, Archive Coordinator at our site in Eye, Suffolk.

In this role you will drive the vehicle that provides transportation of items between Eye, Suffolk and our site in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire.

You will also assist with a variety of archives and sample handling tasks including receipt of items from suppliers and delivery of onsite deliveries to internal customers. This will be in compliance with appropriate Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) regulations.

This is a varied role and the driving will be shared with another member of the team on an alternating weekly basis.

We are looking for someone who enjoys driving along with being in an office based environment, has great attention to detail and who feels confident with using computer systems.

No experience is required, just a fantastic work ethic and a desire to be a part of our mission – to improve health and improve lives!

Main responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring a daily operational link between Eye and Huntingdon

  • Complying with all regulatory and company requirements in the transportation of items between Eye, Suffolk and Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire

  • Collaborating with other materials management assistants to complete tasks within the archives department

  • Performing sample management tasks, including labelling, receipt, transferring, tracking, inventory, archival, shipping, and disposal of samples and/or materials as appropriate

  • Sample accession core tasks, including box opening, inventory/labelling, receipt/store, and pulls/returns

You will need:

  • Driving license (Full UK)

  • The ability to work in a team as well as independently

  • The ability to work under pressure and to timelines

  • The ability to take up new challenges

  • Strong detail orientation

  • Excellent organisational skills

  • I.T proficiency

Any experience working with samples, archiving or using manual handling equipment including Forklift truck is advantageous however full training will be provided.
