ROLE SUMMARY

The Financial Systems Process Excellence Senior Manager is essential colleague of the Medical Systems and Operations team. The Process Excellence Senior Manager will lead the scoping, implementation, and adoption of new POD enhancements as well as business process improvements for the US, Global, and Regional Medical Affairs stakeholders and markets. The Process Excellence Senior Manager combines strong business & systems analysis with excellent project management principles, while understanding Global Medical Affairs needs, with the goal of seamless operations for the business.

The Process Excellence Senior Manager is a part of a working environment where colleagues understand and exhibit customer-focused medical professionalism with honor and integrity. The role reports to the Financial Systems Team Lead within Medical Systems and Operations organization. The Process Excellence Senior Manager will partner and collaborate with all colleagues from across Medical Affairs including those within Global, US, & Regional Medical Affairs.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Act as the lead point of contact for Medical Affairs POD enhancement & process needs.
  • Have a detailed understanding of the POD system and awareness of appropriate SOP’s, business processes, and financial workflows of the Medical Affairs organization.
  • Responsible for defining and managing Medical Affairs stakeholder organizations processes to ensure awareness, training, and buy-in among different groups.
  • Provide proactive partnership with MA operational colleagues to ensure business feedback is incorporated into financial processes.
  • Collaborate and align with key digital & MA stakeholders to understand business needs and design appropriate enhancements to meet the businesses’ financial requirements.
  • Collaborate on yearly operating plan processes with MA and work with stakeholders to improve Operating Plan process.
  • Drives implementation of appropriate SOP’s, business processes, etc.
  • Collaborate and align with key internal stakeholders and other Medical / Medical Operations colleagues for consistency and alignment as appropriate.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • BA/BS degree required
  • 7 years of relevant professional experience; Project Management, business analysis, or financial management information systems experience a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate open discussion among key stakeholders and build internal and external relationships through influencing, partnering, anticipating needs, fulfilling expectations
  • Ability to create & manage complex projects, including process improvement & system implementations.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze, plan, and implement requested enhancements from a variety of stakeholders in a coherent manner.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Business software including Excel, SAP BI, and PowerPoint.
  • Must be independent, pro-active, self-motivated with strong organizational skills and possess the ability to manage priorities
  • Capable of comprehending and communicating in a clear and concise manner
  • Demonstrated record of sound judgment and intelligent decision-making
  • Fluency in written and spoken English required, with excellent communication skills
  • Experience in Medical Affairs would be a plus
  • Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $117,300.00 to $195,500.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 17.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
