ROLE SUMMARY

The Meetings, External Events, and Travel (MEET) Partner Standards and Innovations Regional Manager is responsible for implementing innovative solutions within APAC to generate future efficiencies and enhance the experience for MEET customers.

This role will work with the global Partner Standards and Innovation Lead to implement new strategies that deliver a “Best in Class” organization and will utilize key performance indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to ensure vendor accountability and consistency in the level of service provided. This manager will also work with Pfizer digital teams to create a seamless process and systems landscape.

The Partner Standards and Innovation Manager will work closely with regional operations teams and other MEET Centers of Excellence. He/she will report to the MEET Partner Standards and Innovation Lead.

  • Set standards for all vendors and Meeting Planning Agencies (MPA) in APAC

  • Conduct performance reviews for all vendors in APAC using KPIs and Service Level Agreements to hold all vendors accountable

  • Own the relationship with vendors in APAC, including contracts, MPA onboarding, and best practices Implement innovative approaches and strategies that improve the ways in which MEET works with vendors

  • Exhibit a deep understanding of MEET processes, systems, and vendor landscape

  • Ensure alignment with North Star principles of “speed to value, business impact, promote our services, and create capacity”

  • Conduct data analysis to develop insight driven reports for continuous improvement

  • Implement new solutions for continuous improvement and innovation across all MEET services

  • Implement innovative solutions to resolve issues in MEET processes

  • Implement new tools as appropriate

  • Support the regional implementation of a self-service tool to be used for simple internal meetings

  • Ability to present to leadership and manage relationships with regional stakeholders

  • Ability to manage relationships with vendors to deliver innovative solutions that go beyond daily needs

  • Ability to lead initiatives with internal partners to create a single, seamless process and systems landscape

  • Ability to partner with internal stakeholders to collect feedback on vendor support, innovation and continuous improvements

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Comprehensive knowledge and expertise in the technology landscape that supports MEET

  • Management of multiple client stakeholders

  • Good organizational skills to coordinate and manage multiple priorities

  • Understanding of MAPP Policy terms and healthcare compliance policies

  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills

  • Proficiency in PC skills (MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint) required

  • SAP / Ariba experience preferred

  • Previous experience with pharmaceutical companies is preferred

  • Ability to manage reporting needs for business, BU, Compliance, Audit, etc.

  • Knowledge of relevant external trends within the vendor landscape aligned to MEET services

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Typical Years of Experience: 5+ years (3+ years with MBA / MS) of experience in management, compliance, and customer focused operations with significant volumes and risk (including audit and/or finance experience)

  • Minimum of bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related discipline

  • Fluency in English and Chinese is a must; additional languages preferred

  • Strong compliance experience and financial or audit controls background

  • Demonstrated diverse leadership experiences including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact

  • Proven ability to lead and manage cross-functional, high-performing teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

  • Comfort with ambiguity, anticipates changes, and influences direction of innovative operational strategies

  • Previous experience with pharmaceutical companies is preferred

  • Deep expertise and understanding of a large compliance related, customer facing operations team

  • Recognized as a leader who delivers strong financial and customer experience results

  • Project management & communications skills: ability to lead

  • Experience with Foreign Corrupt Practices Act transactions preferred

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

Position is location is Dalian, China. Travel would be for work related needs only. Weekend work could be necessary based on volumes.
