As part of the Digital Finance organization, our team focuses on creating, configuring, and operating digital products, platforms, and solutions that facilitate Pfizer's core finance functions. This includes areas such as Financial Consolidations, Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting, Treasury, Tax, Compliance, and Internal and External Reporting.
As a Senior Manager, you will create financial reports and dashboards that provide meaningful insights into the key drivers of Revenues, Cost of Goods Sold and Operating Expenses. In this hands-on technical position, you will lead a small team of developers tasked with translating business requirements into innovative report designs that will be built within Pfizer’s SAP & Oracle EPM platforms.
The ideal candidate for this role should have an expert understanding of SAP’s Analytics Cloud (SAC) & Microsoft Power BI and be highly proficient in building complex financial reports. A very strong understanding of SAP BW, HANA and Oracle database technologies is required to ensure source data is staged appropriately and report performance can be fine-tuned for sub-5 second response times. We are also looking for someone who is self-motivated, driven to explore new way of visually presenting financial data and excels in a collaborative team setting. A strong passion for self-development and personal growth is highly regarded in this position.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead all technical design, build and test activities for assigned projects including:
- Data analysis: Extract relevant information from large data sets by querying SAP & Oracle databases, cleaning data, and using statistical methods
- Report design: Create reports that go beyond just representing data by defining KPI’s, configuring insightful charts, and arranging data elements
- Collaboration: Work with data analysts, business analysts, and key stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and gather feedback
- Technical components: Acquire and stage data, create and deploy reporting solutions that align with business needs
- Quality assurance: Unit test reports and dashboards, and resolve any issues found during testing
- Security: Follow security standards when working with sensitive data
- Compliance: Maintain compliance with Pfizer SDLC policies and procedures
- Work effectively within a highly matrixed organization, be able to influence and collaborate with peers, oversee and guide the work of others to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact
- Communicate complex technical information to both functional and technical team members, as well as management, in a clear and comprehensible manner
- Proactively identify and seize opportunities for continuous improvement, aiming to enhance system performance and end-user functionality
- Continually update and maintain advanced technical knowledge in all areas concerning Digital reporting and analytical solutions and stay abreast of industry trends
QUALIFICATIONS
Must – Have
- Bachelor’s degree in computer sciences or similar field
- 7 years of IT experience with 3 years of demonstrated experience with deploying complex Digital reporting solutions
- Expert knowledge and understanding of SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) & Microsoft Power BI required
- Proven experience with other BI solutions, e.g. MicroStrategy, Tableau, Spotfire
- Strong understanding of database technologies (SAP HANA, Oracle) and ETL Tools (ODI, Informatica, etc.)

- Pharmaceutical life science domain experience
- Corporate Finance or Accounting experience

- Job will require working with global teams and applications. Flexible working schedule will be needed on occasions to accommodate planned agile sprints and system releases
- Potential business travel required for critical project work approx. 10%
