Our manufacturing logistics and supply team makes sure that customers and patients have the medicines they need, when they need them. You’ll help bring medicines to the world even faster by embracing challenges, imagining what’s possible and taking action.

Responsible to ensure excellent performance in the last mile phase in the supply chain for NA region for import products (customs release tracking, receipt scheduling and QA release). Interface and centralize Regional Supply Service Center(RSCC) requirements and prioritization across the last mile stakeholders in North America(GLNS, Customs, QA, Transportation). Provide clear visibility to RSCC Planners & GSC Market colleagues about product status after shipment.

Act as Team Coach for the other Deployment Specialist(LATAM) following the guidance from Team Lead for day to day operations, process governance and CI initiatives. Accountable for maintaining as standardize processes as possible, in alignment with the rest of America Region.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Take accountability for the coordination and execution of pre-shipment and post-shipment activities required in-market to have product available for sale in alignment with different stakeholders and responsibilities defined.
  • Serve as point of contact between ELC/LALC/ALC and RSCC Supply Planning for escalations and issue resolution.
  • Prioritize local release based on product criticality for the business/patients, existing inventory levels and process efficiency considerations.
  • Act as interface with QA, Customs Clearance and Logistics in the market for prioritization based on product criticality for the business/patients.
  • Monitor performance of hub/spoke split from packaging site.
  • Provide accurate short-term visibility on product availability to MPH Supply Planning, GSC Markets and QA trough adequate usage of systems and communication processes.
  • Ensure adequate tracking of deployment KPIs at market and regional level (Custom clearance tracking, E2E Lead time, GRPT, backlog)
  • Drive resolution of escalated issues, and proactively communicate and mitigate supply risks resulting from delays in the standard deployment process lead time.
  • Look for continuous improvement processes in the local quality release in alliance with the local/regional quality manufacturing organization.
  • Guarantee continuous supply for brands
  • Act as Team Coach for the other Deployment Specialist(LATAM) following the guidance from Team Lead for day to day operations, process governance and CI initiatives.

Key qualifications

  • 5-7+ years of combined Supply, Planning and Logistics management experience is required, ideally in a multi-national environment and, at least in part, in the Pharmaceutical sector. FMCG, electronics, automotive, retail or other industries can be relevant where understanding and alignment of final customer requirements with sales, marketing and finance.
  • Proven ability to work in a complex international matrix organization and within a multi-cultural environment.
  • Ability to interact and build effective relationships at all levels of the organization and across geographies, with strong oral and written communication skills.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience In/Understanding of pharmaceutical industry commercial dynamics, trends and regulatory processes.
  • Understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing operations and “end-to-end’ global product flows
  • Continuous improvement/ operational excellence projects and deep project management skills
  • ERP/SAP System knowledge
  • Implementation of New business/distribution models
  • Local Logistics market knowledge (LSPs, transport)
  • Deep understanding of North America region PGS sites, BUs and markets preferred.

Language requirement

  • Strong verbal and written English.
